What Time Is ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ On Tonight? Fans Are Ready for the Spinoff to Air on ABC
Bachelor Mondays are finally back and fans couldn’t be more excited. As you may know, Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has indefinitely postponed production. But the latest franchise spinoff — titled The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart — will release its premiere on April 13 to tie us over. And as always, viewers should prepare themselves for a dramatic journey. So what time is The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart on tonight? Here’s what you should know about the new series.
‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ air date and time
As mentioned, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart premiere will air tonight, Monday, April 13, 2020. The spinoff series will be released on ABC and maintain its prime time slot at 8 p.m. EST. And make sure to set aside some time in your evening schedule because the episode will be 2 hours long, ending at 10 p.m. EST.
Now it seems The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart won’t receive the Bachelor in Paradise treatment, which typically aired on Mondays and Tuesdays. New episodes of Listen to Your Heart are expected to be released on Monday nights.
How many episodes long is ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?
The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart is reportedly 6-episodes long and expected to end with its finale on Monday, May 18. However, host Chris Harrison recently hinted there could be more episodes as the franchise’s team goes through the footage. He also revealed there’s potential for a virtual cast reunion show.
“We are not shooting anymore,” Harrison told Entertainment Tonight. “The show is done. It is in the can. Now we are going back and looking with a fine-tooth comb where there are other moments that we could pull out. Honestly, nothing is off the table.”
He continued: “That happens quite a bit, so it’s not crazy to look deeper into the show and think, ‘Hey, could episode 6 have three hours?’ So we are trying to be creative and trying to leave all the cards on the table and all options open to see what we can do.”
What is ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?
The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart has been described as Bachelor in Paradise meets Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born. According to Us Weekly, the new show follows the Bachelor in Paradise format when it comes to eliminations.
In the rose ceremony at the end of the week, the decision will be made by the contestants, alternating each week between the men and women. The premiere kicks off with eight women and 12 men, giving the women the power in week one. Then the second week will add more women. The men will choose who to send home.
Meanwhile, couples will perform duets on a live stage. They will be judged based on their performance and overall chemistry. And each week, the venues will get bigger and bigger. Guest judges such as Jason Mraz, Ashlee Simpson, Kesha, Rita Wilson, and Jewel will also appear.
Nevertheless, it seems the heart of The Bachelor spinoff will mainly focus on the relationships between the contestants rather than their performances. When speaking with Us Weekly, Harrison said:
With the rose ceremonies, there are men and women. Women hand out the roses to the guys, guys will then hand out roses to the women and people will be going home based on those relationships — having nothing to do with the music. Music’s always a part of the show on the dates and you know, they’ll be at the house, playing for each other, but it’s not about the performances.
The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
