‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’: What Will Happen to the Show Without Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi?
When this season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation ends, so does Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi‘s time on the show. With Polizzi exiting the reality series, fans are curious about what will happen to the show. Here’s what we know.
Season 4 will be ‘Snooki’s last
As Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 3 comes to an end, so does Polizzi’s time as a cast member. In December 2019, Polizzi revealed that she wouldn’t be returning for another season. “I am retiring from Jersey Shore,” the reality star revealed on her podcast, It’s Happening With Snooki and Joey. “I am not coming back for season four if there is one. Don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment.”
The driving factor behind Polizzi’s decision was her kids. Leaving them behind to take part in what Polizzi views to be unnecessary drama was no longer fulfilling. “I just want to move on,” Polizzi told HelloGiggles. “I’m not in the mood to do this drama with Angelina anymore, and I just want to be happy and positive, and film fun shows. I’m a mom of three, and I’m 32 years old, so when I leave my kids and film a show, I want to have a good time and not be around negative energy.”
Nicole still wants to work in television
From a young age, Polizzi knew she was destined to become a reality star. “I always told my friends, ‘I’m going to be famous one day, I’m going to be on Real World,’” Polizzi shared in a YouTube video. After a brief appearance on Is She Really Going Out With Him? Polizzi set her sights on The Real World. She submitted an audition tape, but never heard back. That’s when she saw the casting call for Jersey Shore.
“I went [to the Jersey Shore audition] drunk, because it was at a bar, and the rest is history,” Polizzi explained to Vulture. Polizzi has enjoyed her reality TV journey, so she wants to continue working on television. “I would love to do something with Jenni again,” she told HelloGiggles regarding her future outside of Jersey Shore. Hosting is another option for the mother of three. “Like a fun game show or something, where I could do something fun with the people, and it’s not all about me, ya know? I like having that break of not always being ‘on.’”
Will ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ have another season?
Unfortunately, another season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has yet to be confirmed. With Polizzi’s exit, fans are curious about whether or not the show can carry on without her. How different will the roommate’s dynamic be without the original blast in a glass? Will Jenni “JWoww” Farley fair well without her other half?
There’s also the question of whether or not other cast members still want to be involved with the reality series. Polizzi leaving may have started a trend with the roommates. Pauly DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino have proven themselves successful with their various spinoff series, including Double Shot At Love. Will they continue to do spinoffs together if Jersey Shore doesn’t return?
And with season 3 ending on such a bad note for Angelina Pivarnick and Deena Cortese, it’s difficult to say whether or not they’ll want to return to film another season. Then there’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who is trying to start a family, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has turned his focus toward raising his daughter. Truthfully, it’s hard to say whether anyone will want to return for another season. Only time will tell.
