‘Snooki’ isn’t ‘going to Jersey Shore’ anymore

Before season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation aired, Polizzi announced that she was done with the show.

She shared the news with fans during a December 2019 episode of her podcast, It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey. “Don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment,” Polizzi said. “I am retiring from Jersey Shore. I am not coming back for season four…”

When the finale of season 3 aired, fans gained a better understanding as to why Polizzi didn’t want to come back. The drama at Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding seemed to be too much for Polizzi to handle. So, she decided to focus her energy elsewhere.

Nicole is not done with television

Just because Polizzi is leaving Jersey Shore doesn’t mean you won’t see her on television anymore.

“I would love to do something with Jenni again,” Polizzi told HelloGiggles in April 2020. “Just because filming Snooki & Jwoww, our spinoff from Jersey Shore a while ago, was the fun-est show ever.”

Polizzi also expressed an interest in hosting. “Like a fun game show or something, where I could do something fun with the people, and it’s not all about me, ya know?”

In 2018, Polizzi hosted MTV’s How Far Is Tattoo Far? — a project she enjoyed because the show wasn’t about her life. “I like having that break of not always being ‘on.’”

Polizzi has also talked about doing a “Meatball Show” with her fellow meatball, Deena Cortese.

“I’m telling you guys — I’m not done with TV,” Polizzi said during an Instagram Live. “I just need to do something that’s more fitting for me. Meatballs love to have fun, and we’re just here to enjoy ourselves so. I have like, five shows that I’m looking to do,” Polizzi continued.

“Me and Nicole are kind of hoping that this ‘Meatball Show’ will take off,” Cortese added.

There has been no official word regarding a “Meatball Show” — yet.

‘Snooki’ will continue as a businesswoman and entrepreneur

Polizzi has plenty of side projects to keep her busy outside of Jersey Shore.

As the owner of The Snooki Shop — a boutique in Madison, New Jersey — she is continually purchasing new styles and promoting them on social media. Polizzi also continues to provide Jersey Shore related products through her Etsy store.

Additionally, Polizzi has partnered with retailer Buy Buy Baby on her brand of strollers. “I collabed with Your Babiie and I made a couple [of] strollers, I made high chairs, some travel systems, [and] diaper bags,” Polizzi explained to HelloGiggles.

Polizzi’s Mawma line — named after the way her kids say “Mama,” which sounds more like “Mawma” to Polizzi — is available now at Buy Buy Baby.
