Kanye West and Irina Shayk sparked romance rumors with their French vacation
On June 9, the Daily Mail published photos of West and Shayk vacationing in France as the rapper celebrated his 44th birthday.
According to the outlet, the pair stayed at the luxe Villa La Coste, a 600-acre boutique hotel that features an organic winery, spa, three restaurants, and an art center. During their stay, the celebrities were spotted going on a stroll together through the beautiful countryside and taking in the stunning architecture.
“They were taking pictures of each other and the sculptures,” an eyewitness tells E! News. “They looked incredibly happy and relaxed. It was just them and a few friends.”
The pair’s sighting comes after West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, filed for divorce in February 2021 after six years of marriage.
It also comes a day after the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star celebrated the “Flashing Lights” rapper’s birthday on social media by sharing a sweet post in honor of his special day.
“Happy Birthday,” the SKIMS founder captioned a photo of herself and West with three of their four children. “Love U for Life!”
A media outlet recently claimed that the celebrities were ‘secretly dating’
Though this is the first time we’re seeing photos of West and Shayk together, this isn’t the first we’re hearing of the pair being linked to each other.
Back in May, the gossip site DeuxMoi claimed that the rapper and the model were “secretly dating.” However, the claim was never confirmed or denied.
Since both were single and had known each other for years, nothing was stopping the two from seeing each other.
Before West’s marriage to Kardashian West came to an end, Shayk had called it quits from actor Bradley Cooper in 2019 after dating him for four years.
Since their breakup, both Shayk and Cooper have remained private about their relationship. But in March 2021, the model gave some rare insight into how she and The Hangover star are raising their 4-year-old daughter together.
“When I’m with my daughter,” she told Elle Magazine, “I’m 100 percent a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.”

After being spotted together in France, fans really want to know: Are West and Shayk dating?
According to People, the pair are currently seeing each other but aren’t in a relationship.
“They have known each other professionally for years. He started pursuing her a few weeks ago. Kanye is a persuasive guy,” a source tells the outlet. “He hung out with her in NYC before they celebrated his birthday in France.”
The insider continues, “She seems smitten. He invited her to France and she happily accepted. They are not officially dating, but there is an interest from both sides.”
As of this writing, neither West nor Shayk have publicly addressed dating rumors.
