What’s the Secret to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s Happy Marriage?
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra just celebrated their first year of marriage and they’ve definitely had a successful year both personally and professionally. Their work schedules are jam-packed and keep them apart some of the time, but they’ve figured out how to navigate the challenges and maintain the perfect marriage.
Jonas’ wife wasn’t at the Jumanji: The Next Level premiere
Jonas was on hand for the premiere of his new movie, Jumanji: The Next Level, but Chopra wasn’t able to make it. The Jonas Brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas offered their support, though Chopra was sorely missed.
When asked about his wife, Jonas told ET during his red carpet interview: “She’s in India right now, she’s shooting a movie there. Although she’s jealous because she loves Jumanji. She loved the last one. And she really wanted to be here, but she’s got work.”
Jonas and Chopra have figured out how to balance everything
With their busy careers, Jonas and Chopra have had to figure out how to make things work and Jonas remarked that it’s all about balance.
He explained: “She’s done soon with this movie and then she’ll be back for a while… It’s been almost four and half months on the road, and it’s been, you know, interesting. But we have an incredibly beautiful balance in our lives and kind of an understanding of our priorities. That’s the most important thing.”
Jonas has another high profile job coming up they will have to juggle (working on The Voice), as he explained, “We started shooting the blind auditions already, we’ve got the battle rounds coming up in January, so as soon as we finish the tour I will go to that. And we go back on tour. It’s a lot but, it’s only been fun.”
With the holidays approaching, Jonas shared that he’s finally going to have a chance to unwind, noting: “The thing I’m most excited about is the holidays to get a minute to relax.”
Are Jonas and Chopra starting a family soon?
Chopra recently talked about when she and Jonas might start a family and it’s on the horizon but nothing is currently in the works.
When she attended the 15th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball earlier this month, Chopra Jonas told People her thoughts on children, explaining: “They are learning to live life. They need to depend on people to take care of them. Children are not adults, they’re supposed to be provided for in certain things and there are so many children around the world that don’t have the basic things that we take for granted and so children are the future.”
As for having a family with Jonas, she shared: “They’re what this world is going to grow into and if I ever want to have children, I want my kids to grow up in this world which is better. I want my family to grow up in a world which is better for the other children in the world.”
When asked if they are having children, Chopra Jonas noted: “I hope so!”
