When Does ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ Start in 2020? The Premiere’s Release Date Is on Its Way
Ready or not — The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart is coming out soon. As we’ve all seen from watching Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, ABC is campaigning hard for the new addition to the franchise to succeed. But when does The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart start in 2020? Better prepared to continue setting time aside on Monday nights. The premiere’s release date is closer than you think.
‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ 2020 release date, start time, and premiere length
Set your calendars, everyone. The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart premiere will be released on Monday, April 13. Please note this is five weeks after The Bachelor Season 24 ends in March. So you only have a month to get ready for the wild ride.
The debut episode of Listen to Your Heart starts airing at 8 p.m. EST and will run until 10 p.m. EST. This means the premiere where the cast arrives at The Bachelor mansion to meet host Chris Harrison will be a full two-hours long.
How many episodes is ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?
Typically, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise are at least 10-episodes long. However, the shows the franchise airs between the big three — such as The Bachelor Winter Games — are usually shorter. And it seems The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart follows the same pattern.
According to E! News, the new Bachelor franchise series will have a total of 6 episodes. The Futon Critic also revealed there should be no interruptions, which means the finale will be released on May 11. Then The Bachelorette Season 16 with Clare Crawley will start on May 18.
How does ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ work?
Hosted by Chris Harrison, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will feature 23 single musicians — 12 men and 11 women — as they search for love in each other — and their sound.
“Think the Bachelor in Paradise meets A Star Is Born,” Karey Burke, ABC’s Entertainment President, told Deadline in January 2020.
Meanwhile, a press release courtesy of the network revealed the spinoff series will have the contestants living together in The Bachelor mansion as they go on music-focused dates. Then once a couple decides to commit, their “harmony” will be put to the test, undergoing music challenges, which will include live performances.
“Ultimately, the couples whose performances reveal their love and devotion to one another will continue to be given a chance to further their relationships until only one couple is left standing,” the press release states.
For now, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart cast won’t include former contestants from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. However, the franchise promises some special appearances by “Bachelor Nation’s favorite couples.” As we’ve seen in the promo trailer, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers guest star in an episode. There will also be “celebrated names” within the music industry who will turn up on the show.
The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart shows the franchise is alive and well. But will audiences fall in love or will the new series fall flat? New episodes start on April 13. So stay tuned.
