We haven’t even seen who Peter Weber chooses in The Bachelor Season 24 finale, but fans are ready to uncover everything The Bachelorette Season 16 has to offer. As always, everyone is expecting the next lead to deliver the most dramatic season ever. But with more shows churning out of the ABC reality franchise — such as The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart — some viewers are worried The Bachelorette release date will be pushed back. So when does The Bachelorette start in 2020? The fandom is “patiently” waiting for the premiere to finally begin.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 premiere release date in 2020
As of this write-up, ABC has yet to reveal when The Bachelorette Season 16 will be released in 2020. That said, the franchise typically follows a schedule. And although The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will air before The Bachelorette, it still seems likely the 2020 season will continue to receive its usual time slot.
Now, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart is expected to premiere its first season on Monday, April 13 — about a month after Weber’s Bachelor finale. The new series will air six episodes over the course of six weeks. This means the season finale will debut on Monday, May 18, without interruptions.
Meanwhile, The Bachelorette is typically released in May. For example, Hannah Brown’s season started on May 28, 2018, and Becca Kufrin’s season began on May 22, 2017. So even with the arrival of the new series, The Bachelorette 2020 could start airing on May 25. But as always, fans will have to wait and see what ABC decides in the upcoming months.
When does ‘The Bachelorette’ 2020 start filming?
The next bachelorette for 2020 will be officially announced on Good Morning America on Monday, March 2. But even so, Bachelor Nation spoiler king, Reality Steve (Steve Carbone), revealed a few details about production for The Bachelorette Season 16.
On Feb. 29, Reality Steve shared The Bachelorette taping starts on Friday, March 13. This also falls in line with the filming schedule of Brown’s season. On March 18, 2019, creator Mike Fleiss posted a photo of the blonde bachelorette with host Chris Harrison on limo night.
Meanwhile, Reality Steve unveiled two filming locations for the 2020 Bachelorette season. According to the franchise blogger, the cast will head to Chattanooga, Tennessee in late March. Later, they will stop by Iceland.
Who is the 2020 bachelorette?
As mentioned, The Bachelorette Season 16 lead won’t be announced until Good Morning America airs on March 2. But, as expected, Reality Steve has a few spoilers about the new lead, including her identity. And it seems the franchise is pulling another Arie Luyendyk Jr. because she’s not from Weber’s season of The Bachelor.
On Feb. 29, Reality Steve revealed Clare Crawley will be The Bachelorette in 2020. The 38-year-old from Sacramento, California made her first Bachelor Nation debut during Juan Pablo Galavis’ season. She was the runner-up and eventually found herself on Bachelor in Paradise Seasons 1 and 2.
Crawley returned to franchise during The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018 where she met Benoit Beauséjour-Savard. The pair didn’t end up together on the show. However, they reconnected after filming ended.
Then during The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All special, Beauséjour-Savard proposed to Crawley. She accepted, but the couple broke up after two months.
For now, Bachelor Nation fans must wait for the franchise to confirm the next bachelorette on GMA. But whether or not Crawley steps into the role, fans hope the new season will shake things up and exceed every expectation. So here’s to busy Bachelor Mondays — and who knows? Maybe we’ll be booked until summer ends in paradise.
Update: Production for Clare Crawley’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ has been postponed
On March 2, The Bachelorette premiere date was announced for Crawley’s season in 2020. In a press release courtesy of ABC, the 16th season will start Monday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET. The first episode will be two hours long.
Now production for Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has been indefinitely postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Filming will resume once it’s safe enough for the cast and crew to return.
“Until we can do this show and do it safely, we won’t do it,” Harrison told People on March 31. “Right now we are just on hold and it’s being postponed. But we’re all chomping at the bit to get back to it and to have Clare be our bachelorette.”
Update: ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 release date announced by ABC
