‘When Calls the Heart’: Allie Plays Matchmaker in Season 9 Finale
Allie is playing matchmaker in the When Calls the Heart Season 9 finale. A sneak peek at the May 22 episode sees her turning to Elizabeth for advice on how to find a wife for her dad.

Allie asks Elizabeth for help in the ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 9 finale
In the sneak peek at “Rock, A Bye, Baby,” Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) has a favor to ask of Elizabeth (Erin Krakow).
“I need help with finding someone for my dad to marry,” she says.
Elizabeth is somewhat taken aback by the request.
“Did your father ask for your help finding someone?” she says.
Allie admits that Nathan (Kevin McGarry) didn’t explicitly ask her to help him find a wife.
“Do you even know if he wants to get married?” Elizabeth asks.
Allie thinks Nathan is interested in Faith
Elizabeth and Allie go on to discuss Nathan’s romantic prospects. Allie admits she previously thought he wanted to marry Elizabeth, though that obviously didn’t work out.
After Mei Sou (Amanda Wong) arrived in Hope Valley, Allie was convinced Nathan was interested in her. But now that she’s returned to Chicago, she’s not so sure. Now, Allie is wondering if another woman is actually right for the Mountie.
“Lately, I’m wondering about Dr. Carter (Andrea Brooks),” she says.
Elizabeth gently tells Allie that she just needs to be patient and let Nathan decide when – and if – he wants to get married.
“Trust me, you’ll know when your dad is thinking about getting married,” she says.
Allie isn’t the only one who thinks there might be something between Nathan and Faith
Allie isn’t the only person who suspects Nathan and Hope Valley’s resident doctor might have feelings for each other.
“I’m of the opinion that Faith is carrying a torch for Nathan,” Molly (Johanna Newmarch) told Florence (Loretta Walsh) in a recent episode of When Calls the Heart. And in the show’s May 15 episode, parallel conversations between Faith and Molly and Nathan and Bill (Jack Wagner) hinted that the pair might be beginning to realize that they could be more than friends.
Those conversations followed a charged moment between Faith and Nathan when he went to see her about his persistent headaches. The intense eye contact between the two clearly left Faith flustered. But it’s less clear if Nathan has feelings for Faith or if he’s pining after Mei. Perhaps fans will get answers when the When Calls the Heart Season 9 finale airs Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
