Gonzalo shared her happy update in a June 5 tweet and Instagram post. She tagged McNally – who plays Lucas Bouchard in Hallmark’s long-running frontier drama – in the Instagram post.
“Our hearts are full… Welcome baby M,” she wrote. The actor also shared a photo of the new arrival’s fingers wrapped around its parents’ fingers.
The baby news came as a surprise to the actors’ fans. Neither Gonzalo nor McNally had shared that they were expecting, People reported. The couple has not revealed the baby’s gender or full name.

Congratulations quickly poured in after the couple shared their joyful news. When Calls the Heart star – and McNally’s onscreen love interest — Erin Krakow replied to Gonzalo’s Instagram post with a trio of smiling heart emojis. Pascale Hutton and Andrea Brooks, who also appear on the show, reacted with multiple heart emojis.
“Eeeeeeeee!!! Congratulations!!!,” wrote Hallmark regular Rachael Leigh Cook.
“Beyond thrilled for you three! What a beautiful manifestation of your love,” commented Gonzalo’s Dallas co-star Brenda Strong.
“Whaaaaaat??? Julie!!! You had a REAL baby! (I hope our movie baby doesn’t get jealous). Congratulations,” wrote her Dodgeball co-star Justin Long.

McNally and Gonzalo have kept their romance mostly under wraps. They appeared together in the 2018 Hallmark movie The Sweetest Heart. Gonzalo played a woman named Maddie who is doing all she can to save her cupcake business. When she meets a handsome investment banker, her luck begins to turn around. However, things get complicated when her first love, Nate (McNally) suddenly returns to town and she has to choose between new romance and old love.
“Julie is fantastic. She’s super kind, she’s very present. She’s hilarious to be around,” McNally said in a behind-the-scenes video (via YouTube) for the movie. “It makes my job easy.”
“I think the whole cast is amazing,” Gonzalo said. “I think we got along really great right off the bat. Chris has been great, and you know, he has to put up with me all day long, so that’s nice.”
