‘When Calls the Heart’ Star Erin Krakow Shares Sweet Birthday Message to Boyfriend Ben Rosenbaum
Love is in the air! On Monday, When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow took to social media to wish her boyfriend and Hallmark Channel co-star Ben Rosenbaum a happy birthday.
Erin Krakow celebrates ‘When Calls the Heart’ co-star and boyfriend

Rosenbaum – who plays Mike Hickam on When Calls the Heart – celebrated his birthday on March 3. His girlfriend and series star Krakow shared two photos to mark the happy occasion, one of Rosenbaum cradling the pair’s dog, Willoughby, and another of the two smiling on the beach.
“Happy Birthday @ben_rosenbaum,” she wrote in the Instagram update. “You take such good care of us. And you make the world laugh. What more could we ask for?”
Krakow and Rosenbaum confirmed their romance in February 2024. Fans had long suspected that the pair were an item based on social media updates, including a March 2023 post where she referred to him as “Willoughby’s Dad.”
While Krakow and Rosenbaum star together on When Calls the Heart, they aren’t a couple on the romantic drama. Krakow’s character, schoolteacher Elizabeth Thornton, is currently in a relationship with Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry). Before that, she was married to Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing), who later died, and was engaged to Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) before calling off the wedding at the last minute. Rosenbaum’s character married Mei Sou (Amanda Wong) at the end of season 11.

Rosenbaum wasn’t the only When Calls the Heart cast member who recently celebrated a birthday. He also shares a birthday with Andrea Brooks, who plays Dr. Faith Carter.
Krakow also wished Brooks a happy birthday on social media.
“Happy Birthday to the woman who has been pregnant THRICE while filming [When Calls the Heart] and has made it all look easy! @andreakbrooks you carry yourself (and your babes) with grace and glamour and a very fun sense of humor,” she wrote on Instagram. “Whether we’re laughing about Subway, breaking during serious scenes, or chowing down on grilled cheese sandwiches (swipe for evidence) you are a wonderful person and a true friend! HBD!”
Meanwhile, both Rosenbaum and Brooks shared posts on Instagram celebrating their “birthday twin.”
When Calls the Heart airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. Episodes stream the next day on Hallmark+.
