When Does the New BTS Album, Titled ‘Be,’ Come Out? Fans Finally Have a Release Date
This year isn’t all bad, especially for BTS fans. 2020 brought the group the YouTube record for most views in 24 hours, (with “Dynamite.”) The year even included a historic performance of “On” in Grand Central Terminal in New York City (in conjunction with Map of the Soul: 7.)
Later during 2020, fans will have another BTS album to stream, the upcoming deluxe release, titled Be.
BTS announced their upcoming album, titled ‘Be’
Hot off the heels of Map of the Soul: 7, “Stay Gold,” and “Dynamite,” BTS announced another album will debut in 2020. This collection of songs is titled Be and will be available in a deluxe version for ARMYs worldwide.
“BE (Deluxe Edition) contains the most ‘BTS-esque’ music yet,” Big Hit said in a statement to NME. “The latest story from BTS begins by declaring that “even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on” and imparts a message of healing to fans and to the world.”
Some expect this album to be an extension of Map of the Soul: 7, while others expect it to carry new themes entirely. The BTS members have been working on it for a few months now, teasing it as early as spring/summer 2020, when their Map of the Soul World Tour was postponed.
The group released ‘Dynamite’ during August 2020
The start of a new era for this group, BTS released “Dynamite” during summer 2020, as well as a colorful record-breaking music video. There’s no word regarding if all of the songs on this new album will share the same update, retro vibe. The group said, in a statement to NME, why they decided to release this single ahead of their album.
“We realized, however, that no matter how passionate we are, we need our fans there to listen to our songs and watch us perform,” BTS said. “It made us eager to comfort and give joy to people through our music and performance more than ever. That is how ‘Dynamite’ came to be. We decided to accept new challenges and be more flexible.”
When does ‘Be’ premiere?
This upcoming album, Be, will be released worldwide on Nov. 20, 2020, starting at midnight ET. It will, presumably, be available on most major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
For fans who want a physical copy of the deluxe album, pre-order has already begun on Weverse, Amazon, Target, and other stores where CDs are sold. Because it’s “deluxe,” this package will reportedly include a CD, photobook, making-book, lyric poster, eight photo cards, a polaroid photo card, a photo frame, seven postcards, and a poster.
BTS is known to sell millions of copies and make Billboard’s charts with their album sales, so it’s better to get it sooner than later. Until Be is available for jamming out, the “Dynamite” music video is now on YouTube.
Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
