Yellowstone season 4 has officially come to an end, with the finale pulling in a record-setting audience. Now that the season is in the books, fans are wondering when they’ll have the opportunity to revisit those 10 episodes. When will Yellowstone season 4 be available to stream and where can fans find it?
Millions of fans watched the ‘Yellowstone’ season 4 finale
When Yellowstone wrapped season 4 on January 2, the episode scored a record number of viewers for a cable drama. Via the Paramount Network, Yellowstone pulled in 9.3 million total viewers. When you add in the simulcast on CMT, that brings the number up to 10.3 million total viewers.
Those are bigger numbers than most broadcast TV network dramas. And that doesn’t even include the delayed views from DVR and streaming. The data indicates that well over 11 million people watched the Yellowstone season 4 finale during the week it originally aired. And the number keeps rising.
“It is incredibly rewarding to see the Yellowstone audience continue to expand even as we come to the close of our 4th season. This expansion is a true testament to the original voices and universe that Taylor [Sheridan] created,” David C. Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, said in a statement.
Fans can’t stop talking about Taylor Sheridan’s neo-western
Despite mixed reviews from fans, the latest season of Yellowstone was the number one series across Broadcast, Cable, and Premium channels for both the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics. Yellowstone was also the “number one most social cable drama” during season 4, and it lit up social media on the day the finale aired.
The season 4 finale was the most-watched telecast on cable since the season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead. And the episode saw an incredible 81 percent increase in total viewership over the season 3 Yellowstone finale.
When and where can ‘Yellowstone’ fans stream season 4?
In addition to being broadcast on Sunday nights on both the Paramount Network and CMT, fans with a Hulu+Live TV account could watch the season 4 episodes on the streamer after they aired. But now that Yellowstone season 4 is over, where can fans rewatch the episodes?
Unlike the rest of Taylor Sheridan’s ever-expanding Yellowstone-verse — which is slowly taking over the new CBSViacom streamer Paramount+ — Yellowstone proper is part of a deal that was made before CBS All Access became Paramount+ in early 2021.
Before Sheridan signed his massive $200 million deal with CBSViacom, Paramount made a deal with NBC streamer Peacock to make the platform the streaming home of Yellowstone.
Seasons 1 through 3 are available now
For fans who miss out on the occasional Yellowstone marathon that airs on the Paramount Network, they can find every episode from the first three seasons of Yellowstone on Peacock. The streaming service is available with commercials for $4.99 per month. Or, subscribers can opt for the premium version without commercials for $9.99.
In addition to being the streaming home of Yellowstone, Peacock is also where fans can find The Office. The streamer also has original programming, like The Saved by the Bell reboot, Girls5Eva, MacGruber, Brave New World, and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girl Trip.
‘Yellowstone’ season 4 is expected to hit Peacock this spring
Peacock has yet to reveal when Yellowstone season 4 will be available. According to Decider, a rep from CBSViacom confirmed that season 4 would be available “several months” after the finale aired.
If we look back at the season 3 timeline, it provides a good estimate of what fans can expect. The season 3 finale of Yellowstone aired on August 23, 2020. Just three months later — on November 22, 2020 — all 10 episodes of the season were made available on Peacock.
With a similar timetable, fans can expect season 4 of Yellowstone to drop on Peacock in late March or early April.
Yellowstone seasons 1 through 3 are now playing on Peacock.
