The Kardashian family has been in the spotlight for nearly two decades. From their beginnings as America’s first famous reality family to the owners of a veritable empire of businesses, the Kardashian-Jenners have a lot to be proud of. Although the family has faced a lot of controversial moments over the years, they have always overcome their struggles.

As famous as they are now, it seems likely that the family will continue to be in the public eye for years to come — although not perhaps in the same way they are now. Recently, some fans speculated about what the next five years could bring for the Kardashian clan. Their guesses are somewhat surprising. 

How did the Kardashians first become famous?

The Kardashian family spent years on the fringes of fame before their reality show debuted in 2007. Keeping Up with the Kardashians introduced viewers to the family, from “momager” Kris Jenner to reality starlet Kim Kardashian. Over the years, their family dynamic has changed drastically. The format of their show has gone through many dramatic changes, but one thing has remained consistent — people love learning everything they can about the family. 

There have been multiple spinoffs of their original reality show, as well as lengthy specials that showcase specific events in the family’s lives. These days, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is reportedly on shaky ground, as the network tries to work out a way to keep the family relevant for the next decade and beyond. Still, even if the show ends tomorrow, the family has plenty of other ways to make money. 

What could happen to the Kardashian-Jenner family in the next few years?

They might have started out as reality stars, but these days, the Kardashian-Jenners have lots of other hustles going on. From Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics empire to Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line, the family is able to maintain their lavish lifestyle through lucrative business ventures. Therefore, it’s no surprise fans believe the family will be just fine in five years, even if Keeping Up with the Kardashians ends soon. 

In a recent Reddit thread, fans discussed what could be next for the Kardashian family. As far as Kourtney Kardashian, the eldest sibling, several fans believe she will end up with her on-again, off-again ex, Scott Disick, and that the two will launch their own home improvement TV show. Fans believe Khloe Kardashian will end up out of the spotlight, enjoying life with her daughter, True — and definitely not back together with her ex-boyfriend, the problematic Tristan Thompson. 

Kim Kardashian will be a ‘business superwoman’

When it comes to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, fans were more divided on where the couple could be in five years. One fan stated that “Kim will continue to shove ads down our throats and be a business superwoman with a hectic life just like her mom.” Another said that Kim Kardashian will “probably be in same place she is now; scattered with so many different ventures and dealing with Kanye’s empires.”

Several fans theorized that while Kanye West probably won’t end up in the White House, it’s likely Kim Kardashian will be a high-powered lawyer, working on cases that inspire her while continuing to post regularly on social media. A few even stated they believe Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will end up divorcing due to his ongoing antics. Still, one poster stated that it is very possible that Kanye West becomes president, arguing that “they are so driven and stubborn and narcissistic that once they set a goal (and they have), they try to accomplish it no matter the odds and costs.”

As one Reddit poster stated, “following Kim and Kanye the next 4 years will be interesting to say the least.”
