Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are award-winning musicians. They released songs like “Boy With Luv,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Butter,” even earning two Grammy nominations since their debut.

These artists are also known for their close relationship with ARMYs, sometimes chatting with fans on live streams and social media. BTS even revealed some of their favorite foods to fans. For J-Hope, that’s a hamburger and Sprite. For V, that includes a stop at Panda Express.

With all BTS members over 21 years old, these idols drink alcohol on special occasions. While visiting a deli on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, RM said that a popular midnight snack in Korea is fried chicken with beer.

Suga was also a massive fan of coffee, with J-Hope even sending a coffee truck to the “Daechwita” music video set. That artist often raved about his love of iced Americanos. During an interview with WIRED, Suga revealed that he gave up drinking coffee.

BTS’ “Dionysus” from Map of the Soul: Persona also references alcohol and drinking with the Greek mythology character Dionysus known as the God of Wine.

BTS’ Suga sometimes drinks whisky while on V Live

According to Business Times Online, J-Hope ranked the BTS members’ alcohol tolerance. Even though he’s one of the shortest BTS idols, J-Hope said Suga is the member who can drink the most.

Some noticed that Suga sometimes enjoys whisky while chatting with fans on V Live. During one 2020 live stream, ARMYs noticed Suga had a bottle of Ardbeg Corryvreckan single malt scotch whisky in the background. That bottle costs about $76.

On another occasion, an ARMY noticed Suga sipping on Smokehead Islay single malt scotch whisky. The drink is 43% alcohol, coming in at about $50 (depending on the retailer).
