Who Has ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Star Zendaya Dated in the Past?
She may have gotten her start via Disney, but nowadays, the 22-year-old Zendaya is stepping out and making a name for herself. One of her first big roles was with the new Spider-Man series starring Tom Holland, and fans quickly fell in love with her aloof high school character, Michelle Jones. After that, more fame followed with The Greatest Showman, and we’re already loving the trailer for Euphoria, too.
There’s no doubt Zendaya’s a great actress, but with her rise to fame also comes a curiosity about her personal life. So, who has she dated in the past — and is she really seeing co-star Tom Holland?
Zendaya was rumored to have dated a few of her Disney co-stars
Before Zendaya was taking on more serious, career-making movies, she was on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. And it was here that she was first romantically linked to a few of her co-stars. Radar Online notes Zendaya was rumored to have dated Adam Irigoyen, another star of the same show, though that has yet to be confirmed. Considering the two would have been in their early teens at the time, any “relationship” they might’ve had probably wasn’t very serious.
Radar Online also notes Zendaya was rumored to have dated another Shake It Up co-star. Rumor has it that she dated Leo Howard, though again, the two would’ve been quite young. If anything did happen between them, they’ve certainly moved on.
She was also linked with her ‘secret’ boyfriend, Trevor Jackson
Zendaya is quite a private actress who clearly likes to focus on her work more than any relationship drama or speculation — but that didn’t stop some from believing she was also in relationships with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. and fellow TV star Spencer Boldman. There isn’t too much to back up these claims, however. Though we know Zendaya was in a semi-serious relationship at one point, as she spoke to Vogue about a boyfriend she dated for four years before a bad breakup. Many believe this boyfriend in question was Trevor Jackson.
Trevor Jackson was also known for his role on the Disney Channel but has since done other other television projects while also branching out with his musical talents. As Zendaya told Vogue in 2017 that her boyfriend in question (assumedly Jackson) gave her a dog as a gift at one point, but then broke her heart. “It wasn’t a good ending,” she said. “You know you’re OK in a breakup when your first thought is not, What did I do wrong? It’s, That was the dumbest decision of your life, and you’re going to regret it forever.”
Everyone thinks she’s currently dating Tom Holland
Zendaya maintained a few years back that there were no relationships since the one with Jackson, but fans now think she’s definitely dating Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland. Holland sparked dating rumors with an Instagram photo of him and Zendaya hanging out in a pool a few years back — and since then, Marvel fans have been keeping a close eye on the two.
Sources even reached out to People to verify that the co-stars were romantically linked. As one insider claimed, “They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man.They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”
Zendaya has very publicly dispelled the rumors, however. She told Variety Holland is one of her best friends and that’s all there is to it. It’s possible she could be keeping the whole thing under wraps for her privacy, though. Perhaps we’ll find out some day.
