Since her rise to fame, Brie Larson has been one of the most sought-after actresses in the business and has developed quite a following thanks to her role as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Larson’s fans can’t seem to get enough of her and want to learn as much as they can about the actress.

How old is Brie Larson and what is her real name?
Brie Larson was born Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers on Oct. 1, 1989, in Sacramento, California, to parents Heather and Sylvain Desaulniers. Larson’s mother and father were both doctors who ran their own practice.
Larson developed an interest in drama when she was just 6 years old and became the youngest student to ever attend and train at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
She went on to land acting gigs in the Disney Channel’s Right on Track (2003), the WB’s Raising Dad (2001), and MGM’s teen comedy Sleepover (2004). Larson also had roles in the films Hoot (2006), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), and 21 Jump Street (2012), as well as the TV show United States of Tara (2009–2011).
In 2015, she really shot to fame when she starred in the movie Room, in which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. She also won a Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA award for her performance. She later played the title role in Captain Marvel and in 2020, teamed up with director Destin Daniel Cretton for the third time for the film Just Mercy.
She broke off her engagement
Larson started dating Alex Greenwald, who is the lead singer of the band Phantom Planet, in 2013. Three years later, the pair got engaged during a trip to Tokyo, Japan. They lived together in the Hollywood Hills, attended events with one another, and Larson gushed over him in interviews.
“Oh man, I mean, he’s the other half of the equation — how can you explain support? I mean, it goes beyond anything,” she told a reporter at the 2016 SAG Awards. “He’s just my person, he’s my best friend.”
She also gave him a shoutout during her acceptance speech at the Academy Awards that same year simply saying, “My real partner, Alex Greenwald, I love you.”
However, things weren’t meant to be and in early 2019, they called it quits. People noted that “They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being but they remain close.”
Who is Larson dating now?
Six months after calling off her engagement, the star was spotted out with a new man.
Pictures of Larson locking lips with actor and virtual reality director Elijah Allan-Blitz made the rounds in July 2019. The two packed on the PDA during a grocery shopping trip to the supermarket Lazy Acres in Calabasas. They looked casual as they spent the day together.
Larson was dressed in an orange floral dress and had her hair tied back, while Allan-Blitz sported a T-shirt with a denim jacket and a pair of jeans.
A rep for the actress has not commented on the pictures since they surfaced online but Allan-Blitz was by Larson’s side again when she attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Nov. 02, 2019.
