Who Is BTS Member Jungkook’s Celebrity Crush?
He’s friends with Ariana Grande and stans Billie Eilish. But when it comes to his celebrity crush, BTS member Jungkook is at a loss for words. Here’s what we know about the youngest BTS member and the artist behind songs such as “Euphoria” and “My Time.”
According to BTS fans, Jungkook’s celebrity crush is another singer
Jungkook — real name Jeon Jeongguk — is an award-winning singer and dancer. He performs songs such as “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite” with the six other BTS members. Reportedly, Jungkook’s celebrity crush is also a music artist. Her name is Lee Jieun, also known as IU.
He hasn’t dated the soloist or, as far as fans know, even hung out as friends. As a result, some ARMY members quickly pointed out that the connection could just be people trying to “ship” them together.
“For Jungkook and IU, there’s really no evidence. I mean, about the fan thing — anyone could be a fan of IU or other idols, so that would make them their crush? That doesn’t make sense,” one fan noted on Quora.
Jungkook is also rumored to have a crush on another singer: Lisa from Blackpink. However, the BTS idol has never confirmed it. Again, observers have pointed out that the rumor could be simply what fans wish would happen more than what he has actually said.
Does the BTS member have a favorite actor?
Other BTS members have praised and admired actors such as Scarlett Johansson and Lily Collins. However, asked about his celebrity crushes and favorite Hollywood actors, Jungkook offered a puzzling answer.
“I know her face, but I don’t know her name,” he said during an interview with Access Hollywood. Asked which film the actor was in, Jungkook responded, “I know movie, but I don’t know movie name.”
The BTS members burst out laughing. Jungkook’s quote became an inside joke among fans, with some speculating who the mystery person was. Others guessed he was making the whole thing up.
Jungkook has a few bromances with other celebrities
Aside from his love for his fellow BTS members, Jungkook has had a few celebrity bromances. In June 2019, he posted two photos with the Korean singer Minwoo to BTS’ Twitter account.
Jungkook wrote in the caption, “Bromance,” with a thumbs-up emoji. Minwoo also shared the photos on Instagram with the same caption. But after that, Jungkook got busy promoting new music.
BTS’ “Butter” music video is streaming on YouTube. The K-pop group’s latest album, Butter, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most other major streaming platforms. In addition, upcoming BTS concert dates include Las Vegas performances in April 2022, according to Ticketmaster.
