Who Is Chet Hanks’ Ex-Girlfriend He Claims Attacked Him?
Chet Hanks is no stranger to having his name in the headlines. The son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson has caused controversy over some of his past actions and now a video of an altercation between him and his ex-girlfriend is making the rounds with Hanks claiming he was attacked.
Here’s more on the violent altercation, where it took place, and what both parties are alleging.
When and where the physical altercation occurred
TMZ obtained video of the incident that occurred on Jan. 8, 2021. It was filmed by Hanks at his Sugarland, Texas home. It’s not clear what happened leading up to the altercation but the two appear to be involved in a heated dispute.
The woman in the video is Hanks’ now ex-girlfriend, Kiana Parker. In the clip, he says to her: “You threatened me with a knife.” She is then seen walking toward him with a pot in her hand and a scuffle can be heard. In the next part of the clip, Chet turns the camera on himself to show blood dripping down his face.
The actor alleged that Parker attacked him with a knife. She denied that and is heard in the background asking people in the room for accounts of what they saw. Hanks then walked outside the house and claimed that Parker stole money from him. According to TMZ, she was at his property that day to collect her belongings and showed up with a man who had a gun in his possession. Hanks is suing Parker for assault and battery, as well as theft and return of the money she allegedly took from him.
Parker says she has a restraining order against Hanks
Parker, however, says the Hanks is the one who is violent. She alleged that he pulled a knife on her so she grabbed the pot in self-defense. She also said he attacked her in the street outside his residence and that she got a restraining order against him because he put his hands on her a number of times between October 2020 and January 2021.
Hanks claims he has no knowledge of the order.
According to Parker’s attorney D’Angelo Lowe, her client tried to reach out to her ex’s parents to help serve the order and is currently under the care of a doctor.
Following the release of the video Hanks’ lawyer, Marty Singer, said: “The day after Chet Hanks confronted Kiana Parker about stealing money from his credit card, while Ms. Parker was accompanied by a huge male carrying a gun she viciously attacked Chet with a knife, which caused him to profusely bleed. It is all on video and the undisputed video tells the whole story. Her claims are completely false, fabricated, and fictional.”
Hanks and Parker do not have any children together. The Your Honor star has one daughter, Michaiah, from his previous relationship with Tiffany Miles.
Hanks has stated that becoming a father saved his life and got him on the right track.
