Idina Menzel is best known for voicing the character of Elsa in the Disney movie Frozen. But before she entered the kingdom of Arendelle, she was a singing sensation on the Broadway stage.
The 50-year-old actor first appeared in the critically acclaimed musical Rent in 1995, where she met her first husband, Taye Diggs. The couple was married for ten years but are now divorced.
The Tony award-winning singer eventually remarried Aaron Lohr, whom she met in the 2005 movie version of Rent.

The couple had an instant connection and that same year starred together in the off-Broadway musical See What I Wanna See.
At the time, the Wicked actor was still married to Diggs, with whom she shares a child. In 2014, Menzel and Diggs finalized their divorce, and she began a romantic relationship with Lohr.
According to Good Housekeeping, the happy couple made their first red carpet public appearance in April 2015 at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
By August 2015, the Los Angeles Times reported that the Broadway actors were purchasing a 5-bedroom estate in Encino, California, valued at $2.675 million.
A year later, Menzel announced via Twitter that she was engaged to Lohr. Yahoo reported that while thanking fans for supporting her self-titled album Idina, she stated, “What an incredible week. Thank you to everyone for all your support with the album.” The singer continued, “As if this week couldn’t get any better, I have wonderful news… my man and I are engaged! We are so happy. It’s a beautiful time.”
According to The Knot, the engagement ring is a “vintage, platinum-diamond baguette ring that features an ethically sourced, beyond conflict-free 2-carat diamond.” The band also contains a hand-engraved floral pattern.
On September 22, 2017, the couple exchanged vows in a private backyard ceremony at their California estate.

A native of Los Angeles, Lohr began acting at an early age, appearing on television series such as Baywatch, Family Matters, and The Wonder Years.
According to IMDb, the UCLA theater graduate “became a recognizable player of the Disney Studios stable.” The films he has appeared in include The Mighty Ducks and Newsies. He was also the voice of Max in A Goofy Movie.
The multi-talented performer has mastered his craft as a singer and star of stage and screen. The 45-year old’s last performance was in the 2017 film A Change of Heart.
In 2012, Lohr changed gears and became a recovery specialist/therapist. He is currently the clinical director at an inpatient mental health and chemical dependency facility in Malibu, California.

According to E Online, the “Let It Go” singer admitted that her divorce from Diggs was difficult because of their son. She said, “You have a lot of regret with a child, and feeling like you’re failing them in some way, not giving them the idealistic scenario.”
People reported the 50-year-old singer reflected a lot on her personal relationships during the pandemic. She spent quality time with her family, saying she can “relate, commiserate, empathize with parents” about raising a child in today’s world.
Her son Walker is now 12 years old, and Menzel says she has learned a lot about “priorities and perspective.” Diggs told US Magazine that he co-parents and remains close with his ex-wife, saying, “We never make a wrong step because we’re always thinking of Walker first. We both love Walker and want what’s best for him. I think once you do that, it allows for things to be a little easier.”
Lohr also shares a close relationship with Walker and enjoys being a stepdad.
