He spent the next five years acting in a variety of TV projects, including a stint on the daytime drama The Young and the Restless, from 2014 to 2016. That year, he took on his biggest role yet, playing Kevin Pearson on the popular NBC series This Is Us.
During his time on the small screen, Hartley has also kept busy in his personal life. In 2004, he married Lindsay Hartley, and they had a daughter a few months later. They were divorced in 2012.
Five years later, in October 2017, he married Chrishell Stause, who currently stars in the Netflix original reality show Selling Sunset. Their divorce was final in February of this year, although Hartley filed the paperwork in late 2019. When the final decree came through, Hartley wasted no time finding wedded bliss again.
Who is Sofia Pernas?
US Weekly reports that Hartley and Pernas let the world know in May that they had gotten married in a secret ceremony, but it’s not clear when. But who is she?
Pernas is also an actor, although she doesn’t have as high of a profile as her new husband. She has appeared on some high-profile TV shows, such as Jane the Virgin and Blood & Treasure. She’s also appeared on the Hallmark Channel show Home & Family, preparing a meal inspired by her Moroccan heritage.
She was born in Fes, Morocco, and her family moved to the U.S. when she was five years old. Her mother is Moroccan and her father grew up in Spain. Due to her multinational upbringing, Pernas speaks four languages: Arabic, English, German, and Spanish.
Her biggest role came in 2015, when she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless, playing the part of Marissa Sierras. It was a role that would have a big impact on her life, both professionally and personally.
