Who Is ‘Married at First Sight’ Star Bennett Kirschner and What Does He Do for Work?
With the Season 11 premiere of Married At First Sight, viewers were introduced to five new New Orleans couples ready to take a chance on love. One couple, in particular, Bennet Kirschner and Amelia Fatsi, share mysterious history fans are anxious to learn more about. Here’s what we know about Bennett so far.
‘Married at First Sight’ isn’t your typical dating show
Unlike typical dating series, Lifetime’s Married at First Sight introduces willing singles to their partners on their wedding day. The couples actually start their relationship after saying, “I do.” And they must get to know each other as husband and wife.
But the show doesn’t pair up couples willy nilly. A panel of experts, which includes a marriage counselor, a pastor, a sociologist, and a psychotherapist, comb through dozens of ready-to-marry singles’ profiles. Then, based on compatibility factors like age, appearance, values, and location, the experts find them suitable matches. The singles then meet their perfect someone on the day of their nuptials, and they must decide if they want to get married while standing at the altar.
Who is Bennett Kirschner on Married at First Sight
Bennett is a 28-year-old New Jersey native who lives in New Orleans. On Married at First Sight, he reveals that he has a number of different jobs, and is now looking to settle down with the right person.
“I am a theater artist, a freelance writer, a petty cabber, and a landscape architect helper,” Bennett says on the show. “I grew up in a household that really fostered creative expression. And I was always personifying inanimate objects. I talked to everything, from stuffed animals, which is pretty normal, to the garbage can, which was called the president.”
“I would describe myself as a weirdo,” he adds. “I think I’m especially ready to be married at first sight because I am someone who is deeply committed, who is passionate about the people I am close to. What I want is to find love with someone who I get and who gets me. For the right person, I would consider myself a good catch.”
Bennett doesn’t have any public social media accounts
As of now, it doesn’t look like Bennett has a public Instagram or Twitter account. However, he does have a personal website and a Reedsy page. Both websites feature bios for Bennett, including links to his past works.
“As a theatre maker, he directs ensemble-generated works and is the founding Artistic Director of Intramural Theater, a New Orleans based theatre collective that has been producing original, site-specific works since 2015. He received his MFA in Playwriting from the University of New Orleans in 2019,” Bennett’s website reads. “As a music maker, Bennett uses his voice to write ditties that are occasionally turned into complete songs by people who have musical training. His band, TV Pole Shine, a 12-piece pop-funk outfit, started playing music in New Orleans in 2016 and will be releasing a full-length studio album, To Screw in a Lightbulb, in early 2021.”
On Married at First Sight, Bennett is matched with New Orleans physician, Amelia Fatsi. The two seem to know each other, but they have yet to reveal how. New episodes of the series air Wednesdays on Lifetime.
