Who Is Miami Heat Star Jimmy Butler’s Girlfriend?
Jimmy Butler joined the Miami Heat in 2019. The NBA star signed a four-year contract worth $142 million and said he chose to take his talents to South Beach because of the “culture.”
“It’s the culture that I hear about all the time,” Butler said via the Miami Herald. “The work that you put in every single day, the winning habits, the winning ways. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? I was excited to have an opportunity to come here, to be here. But when I kept hearing about this culture, I was like, ‘I need that in my life.’”
The Heat made the NBA Finals taking on Lebron James’ Los Angeles Lakers and playing on basketball’s brightest stage has fans are trying to find out as much as they can about Butler, including who he’s dating. Here’s what we know about the athlete who usually keeps his private life under wraps.
Butler has previously been linked to these high-profile women
In 2016, the internet was buzzing that the NBA player was seeing Pretty Little Liars alum Shay Mitchell after TMZ cameras caught them having lunch together in Beverly Hills. They were also spotted at dinner and the media outlet reported that they were dating.
However, things between Butler and the You actor didn’t last and in 2017, Mitchell was linked to her current beau, Canadian TV host Matte Babel. The two welcomed their first child 2019.
Someone else Butler was linked to was singer Miley Cyrus. That rumor came about back in 2013 after the B96 Summer Bash where they reportedly met and took a picture together. They attended a few more of the same events but either of them ever confirmed or denied if there was anything going on and most fans just wrote it off as nothing more than a friendship.
Who is Butler dating now?
Reports have swirled for some time that Butler is in a relationship with model Kaitlin Nowak. The pair did welcome a daughter, Rylee, in October 2019. Butler missed the first three games of the season to be there for the birth.
“Jimmy Butler is now a proud father to a baby daughter,” Heat head coach Spoelstra said (per ESPN). “We’re thrilled for him, and we’re really excited.”
In February 2020, Nowak attended Super Bowl LIV with Butler and a group of family and friends. Rylee’s mother was also sitting seen sitting courtside during a couple of Butler’s games. However, she and their baby have not joined the Heat star in the NBA bubble.
“This is a business trip for me. I’m not messing around,” Butler explained. “Everyone wants to have their family, without a doubt. But we’ve been doing this for this long, what’s another couple of months? It is an individual decision and I respect that decision that my teammates make but I’m here for business.”

Whether or not Nowak and Butler are actually together at the moment remains unclear, however, there’s no doubt about who she’s been rooting for in the playoffs.
The model shared her excitement after the Heat defeated the Boston Celtics to advance to the NBA Finals. She posted a screenshot via her Instagram Stories of the score at the end of the game with several clapping hands emojis.
