How old are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton?

Shelton just had a birthday on June 18, making him 43 years old. Stefani is a little older than Shelton, in fact, she’s nearly seven years older. Stefani is currently 49, and she’ll be turning the big 5-ohh in October.

Teasing a partner about their age seems to be a universal experience, even celebrities do it. Shelton told People, “I’m younger than Gwen, and lately, things like, I don’t know, gout, and a back going out. Or my knees are constantly bothering me. Those are the things she’s like, ‘Aha! How do you like that? You’re 41 now, Blake,’ she teases me about my age.”

Shelton also admitted his age is putting a strain on his figure. “I think I like exercising more than I ever have, just because I know that it’s easy for it to get away from me at my age now. But I’ve never been good at it. You can see pictures of me, it is what it is. I’ll lose a bunch of weight and feel good about it and what do I do when I feel good? I eat. Then next thing you know, some picture comes out of me and I’ve got three chins.”

However, Stefani doesn’t seem to agree that Shelton’s age makes him any less attractive. When Shelton received the title of People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2017, Stefani encouraged him to do the photo shoot. She commented, “He’s perfect for it. Somebody that is funny and has a sense of humor is sexy- that’s the number one thing… He’s quite an attractive human.” Stefani even Tweeted about the honor. “I guess I’ve been kissing the #sexiestmanalive all this time but @people I knew that already!!!”

But then when the year was over, and the title was passed on to the next sexiest man, Shelton felt a little disappointed. “Can I be honest,” Shelton said. “I feel like when I gave up my crown, sexy ended. It just ended in the world. So until I get it back, it doesn’t exist anymore.”

Will Gwen Stefani’s age prevent Blake Shelton from ever having kids of his own?

At 49, Stefani is 14 years older than Shelton’s ex, Miranda Lambert. Because of her age, it may be hard for Stefani and Shelton if they ever decide to have children together. After 40, a woman’s fertility drops drastically, so much so that’s she’s unlikely to get pregnant naturally.

Shelton has never had children of his own. However, Stefani already has three kids with her ex, Gavin Rossdale. Shelton has stepped in as a great step-dad for her boys. A source told Hollywood Life, “Blake is taking on the role of a step-dad close to his heart and is really loving it.” Another source told US Weekly, “Blake loves getting dirty with the boys. They’re always playing basketball or running around.”

Shelton seems to be really enjoying his role as a step-dad, but will he ever want children of his own? If he and Stefani spend the rest of their lives together, he may not get that chance, and that’s something he’ll need to consider very carefully.
