Rotimi plays the character Power fans love to hate. Off-screen, he’s used his star power to showcase his music, combining his hometown Nigerian beats with hip-hop undertones. Fans adore the actor and signer for not just his talent, but he’s quite a looker. Many were devastated to discover that Rotimi is now a relationship and want to know who has his attention.
Fans speculate Rotimi is dating singer Vanessa Mdee
Rotimi has been single for a few years. The actor revealed in a previous interview with The Breakfast Club that he was in a committed relationship with a woman and they lived together at one point before their relationship ended. After the breakup, he focused his attention on his career, releasing music and taking on additional acting roles.
Many women vied for the attention of the eligible bachelor but he insisted he was not looking to be in a relationship unless it was with the right woman. It looks like Rotimi has found his lucky lady as he recently confirmed that he was dating a woman named Vanessa Mdee.
Fans were the first to speculate that Rotimi and Mdee were an item when the two posted separate Instagram stories while on vacation in Miami. When Rotimi and Mdee commented under each other’s photos, it only added to the speculation that they were together.
They soon confirmed that they are an item. Mdee revealed in an interview that it didn’t take her long to realize Rotimi was the man for her. “It took me just two days for me to know that he was my husband,” she said. “You know when you are in love with somebody. Yes, I’m in love with him.”

Rotimi has not spoken about Mdee publicly but he recently expressed his love for his new beau in an Instagram post he captioned, “H E R.”
Fans are both happy and envious of Mdee and are wondering who captured Rotimi’s heart. Rotimi may be a star thanks to his role on Power but Mdee has her own music career.
The 31-year old rose to prominence as the first-ever Tanzanian MTV VJ. She continued her involvement in entertainment through hosting radio and television shows. Mdee’s biggest hosting gigs include the Epic Bongo Star Search and Dume CHallenge for ITV Tanzania. She used her radio career to transition into signing and was signed to B’Hits Music Group in 2012.
After joining B’Hits Music Group, Mdee collaborated with Tanzanian rapper A.Y. on a song titled, ‘’Money’’ Her next collaboration, “Me and You” was voted Song of the Year during the 2013 Kilimanjaro Music Awards. She received more buzz with the release of her first solo single, “Closer”, which was downloaded over 30,000 times in its first week – making her the first Tanzanian artist to achieve such. “Closer” remained on the charts for over 13 weeks.
Mdee has worked with many notable artists, including Kelly Rowland, French Montana, Trey Songs, Mac Miller, Rick Ross, and Ludacris.
With the musical talents of both Rotimi and Mdee, fans are anticipating collaborations between the new couple.
