Who is Tamron Hall’s Husband?
Former Today Show co-host Tamron Hall has had a banner year. With a new husband, new baby, and new talk show, the television personality has much to celebrate.
Many were surprised when Hall suddenly announced her marriage and pregnancy earlier this year, for few knew she was even dating.
Breaking news
In March, Hall took to Instagram with a pic of herself cradling her growing baby bump. “I’ve wanted to share this news for many months and now finally my doctor has said I am in a safe place, at 32 weeks, to share my joy with y’all,” she captioned the photo to her Instagram followers. “So, it’s clear a daytime talk show isn’t the only thing I’ve been trying to produce! There have been many tears, but today I embrace the smiles.”
Hall then slipped in another surprise, revealing that she had gotten married. “My husband Steven and I are beyond excited! We’re in constant prayer, so if you pray, add us to your list; if you meditate, send calmness our way; and if you believe in luck, we’ll happily take that too. More to share in a few weeks when the baby arrives! Next chapter! Blessed and Grateful,” she concluded.
Music man
Hall’s husband, music exec Steven Greener, is a partner at Primary Wave where he oversees “the music talent management that’s home to Cee Lo Green, Fantasia, Melissa Etheridge, Brandy, Cypress Hill, Eric Benét, Toots & The Maytals, and many others,” according to the company’s website.
A first-time dad to their son Moses, Greener is clearly smitten with his wife and enjoying family life. “I’m constantly amazed by how lucky I am,” Greener told People. “Tamron is one of the most authentic, loving, honest, caring people I’ve ever known. My favorite part of marriage and fatherhood so far is realizing every day I am exactly where I was always meant to be — with my family. I am home.”
Friendship turned to marriage
Hall shared that the two were friends for years before they started dating in 2017, right around the time of her departure from the Today Show. “I’ve known him for many years. We would run into each other, and he’s shy, so I wasn’t clear that he was hitting on me exactly. I thought he was just being friendly,” Hall said.
Hall revealed that having a major career change at the same time their relationship began to turn romantic gave her better focus in her personal life. “When we finally started dating, I could see him clearly. When I was working, given the competitive environment I was in, you don’t always see people for who they are,” she told People. “Once I left, I started to have better conversations. You’re more present, and you’re not looking at your phone, not checking your email. The fear factor of ‘What’s going on with my spot? Am I going to keep this job?’ fell away, and I could really see Steven.”
The two come from different religious backgrounds, so they are raising baby Moses in a multi-cultural environment. “He’s Jewish,” Hall said of her husband, “so we had a bris here at the house. My mom nearly passed out. We had both grandparents on each side there, and he’s going to Texas to have a Christening or a Confirmation at my mom’s southern Baptist church. We’ve just combined our life experience, and we want to teach him tradition.”
Though Hall is a well-known figure, Greener prefers to stay out of the spotlight. “For him, he wants my show to make it, but he wants our marriage to work and he knows part of that is maintaining this foundation and him being comfortable with who he is and not pushed into someone he isn’t,” she said, according to Good Housekeeping.
With Hall’s show a ratings success and her home life filled with domestic bliss, the talk show host has plenty of reason to celebrate!
