Chicago franchise: Chicago Fire
Chicago Fire is an action drama television series created by Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, and Dick Wolf. It premiered on NBC in October 2012. The show follows the employees (both firefighters and paramedics) at Firehouse 51 in Chicago as they work to protect and save citizens. In 2020, the show was renewed for three more seasons (to season 11). The primary plot of Chicago Fire is the exploration of the lives of professionals at Firehouse 51. Early divisions occurred due to the death of Andrew Darden with Matthew Casey and Kelly Severide each blaming the other.
However, the unit came together after the near-death of Christopher Hermann. The professionals at Firehouse 51 find themselves facing life and death decisions on a daily basis in the nature of their jobs, but, ultimately, they treat each other as if they’re family. This close-knit bunch has looked out for each other since the series began and shows that, when your back is to the wall, others will be there to help you get out.
Who is Kara Killmer
Kara Killmer was born on June 14, 1988, in Crowley, Texas, graduating from Baylor University in Waco in 2010, according to IMDb. She married Andrew Cheney on May 14, 2016. Some of her first work was on the short-lived If I Can Dream by Hulu in 2010, which was a reality show about making it in the entertainment business. She joined Chicago Fire in 2014. Her movie debut was with her future husband, Andrew Cheney, Beyond the Mask.
Some of her hobbies include hiking, writing, spending time with family and friends, and painting. Killmer has worked to keep her private life separate from her public life, so little is known about her family. However, it is known that one of her earliest performances was in 2008 at Baylor University in the stage production, Eurydice.
Currently, Killmer and Cheney do not have any children, which is not surprising since her career has been taking off, and she has landed amazing roles. Her net worth is $500,000, but it is unknown as to the earnings she receives per project. She is expected to continue to be in demand as a talented actress with multiple roles under her belt.
Role as Sylvie Brett
Sylvie Brett replaced Shay on Ambulance 61 following Shay’s death. Brett’s first friend was Dawson and, afterward, the rest of the crew began to warm up to Brett being on the team. Brett’s history involves her being from a small Midwestern town, adopted by her parents, and having a little brother.
She described herself as being a runaway bride from her ex-fiancee (Harrison), but it’s found out that he was the one that ran first. Following his public apology, the couple briefly reconciled. Brett had a hard time initially adjusting to city life in Chicago but eventually learned how to handle herself. As she gains experience as a paramedic, she also gains life experience, going through triumphs and heartache. What’s next for Kara Killmer and Sylvie Brett on Chicago Fire? Keep watching to find out!
