Who Is Usher’s Girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, and How Did They Meet?
Usher is going to be a father 3! According to news outlets, the “Confessions” crooner and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, are expecting their first child together and couldn’t be more excited.
Now that everyone knows that Usher and his lady love will soon welcome a baby, many are curious about who Goicoechea is and how exactly she and the Grammy winner struck up a relationship.
Usher and Jenn Goicoechea first sparked romance rumors in 2019
Usher and Goicoechea were first linked in October 2019 when they were spotted backstage at the Hollywood Bowl concert.
Though neither confirmed whether or not they were dating at the time, photographer Jennifer Johnson snapped a photo of the pair backstage at the event, signaling a possible romance.
“Cause she’s such a good kisser! Caught a rare moment with @usher backstage the other day. I stay catching moments like these boys be catching feelings!” she captioned the cute snapshot.
Two months later, the pair were spotted together again celebrating Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ 50th birthday at his Holmby Hills mansion. During the shindig, Usher was seen not only performing but “getting cozy” with Goicoechea.
Though they still hadn’t gone public with their relationship, it seemed to onlookers that Usher and Goicoechea were definitely dating, since they certainly weren’t hiding their affection for one another.
Then, heading into the 2020 award season, the couple attended numerous A-list events, like the Vanity Fair after-party and more.
Who is Jenn Goicoechea?
Like Usher, Goicoechea also has a career in music.
The 37-year-old is a record executive and currently works as the Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, which represents a range of big-name artists, including Travis Scott, Mariah Carey, and Meghan Trainor.
Though it remains unclear how she and Usher initially crossed paths, it’s likely they met through their connections in the music industry or just happened to meet at an exclusive event.
But despite how they first met, Goicoechea and Usher have known each other for a few years.
In December 2016, Goicoechea posted a photo of her and Usher on her Instagram page and even tagged the R & B crooner in the snapshot.
Though Usher was still married to his manager, Grace Miguel, at the time, it seemed like he and Goicoechea had somewhat of a connection.
Usher and Goicoechea are celebrating a major milestone
As of this writing, neither Goicoechea nor Usher has confirmed their dating status. But now that the couple’s pregnant with their first child together, it’s clear the two are a couple.
On Aug. 31, Us Weekly revealed the pair are expecting a baby (Goicoechea’s first and Usher’s third) and are “thrilled and very excited” about this new chapter in their life.
Though the love birds haven’t formally announced their pregnancy, they were spotted out and about that same day with Goicoechea’s baby bump on full display.
As of right now, there is no further information known about the pregnancy or when their baby is due. And since the couple keeps their lips sealed when it comes to their relationship, we won’t hold our breath on them sharing any details about their pregnancy journey.
