Netflix‘s newest biographical movie Worth revolves around a controversial economic and heartbreaking situation. In the plot, an attorney learns the necessity of empathy in business; he must weigh the compensation for each family directly affected by Sept. 11, 2001.

The studio released the trailer revealed that the release date is Sept. 3, 2021. To tell the story of the character’s incomprehensible task, Netflix chose to cast familiar faces. Here’s a look at who is in the main cast.

The ‘Worth’ trailer outlines a complicated situation

Filming for Worth began in 2019, and the drama first premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. After gaining positive feedback from critics, Netflix acquired the rights to the project in 2021.

In early August of 2021, Netflix shared the trailer on Twitter.

According to the trailer, the attorney Kenneth Feinberg faces harsh criticism for compensating the 9/11 families “based on economic value lost.” The movie challenges the balance between an apathetic financial objective and its heartbreaking emotional toll.

Michael Keaton leads the film

Michael Keaton portrays the real-life attorney. Feinberg struggles to explain to families why they are not receiving equal payments.

Keaton is known for his various movie roles, but his most famous is the 1989 Batman. The actor played the superhero in the first and second films and will soon reprise his role in 2022 for The Flash.

Another well-known role of Keaton’s is in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice alongside Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, and Wynona Ryder. The ghostly yet comical film is now one of the most popular movies to watch during the Halloween season. It became an icon and was reimagined in a TV series, video games, and a stage musical on Broadway. Although the stage version received negative critical reviews, the Beetlejuice fan base brought the production to successful box office numbers.

Keaton earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for Birdman. Viewers saw the dark comedy as a spoof on the actor’s Batman popularity; however, director Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu confirmed that wasn’t the case after Keaton asked for clarity. The plot focuses on a fading actor known for playing the hero, Birdman, and directs a Broadway production to boost his career. The main issue is that his Birdman ego complicates his thoughts.

Stanley Tucci and Amanda Ryan are supporting actors

Stanley Tucci portrays a family member who lost his loved one to the attacks. The trailer shows a heated exchange between Tucci’s character, Charles Wolf, and Feinberg. Wolf asks the attorney why he can’t distribute equal compensation among the families.

Tucci is known for a wide variety of film roles. From the vibrant host, Caesar Flickerman of The Hunger Games to the hard-working Nigel Kipling of The Devil Wears Prada, the actor is praised for his diversified roles. Tucci also played the violent and heartless Mr. Harvey in The Lovely Bones alongside Saoirse Ronan.

Keaton’s fellow Birdman co-star, Amy Ryan, portrays Camille Biros in Worth; she is known for her Broadway and film productions. Ryan was nominated for multiple Tony Awards for Uncle Vanya and A Streetcar Named Desire. However, most fans of The Office recognize her as Holly Flax. Holly and the show’s character, Michael Scott, develop romantic feelings for one another as they exhibit similar personalities.

The actor’s other famous projects include HBO’s The Wire and Gone Baby Gone, Changeling, and Win Win.
