Who Went Home on ‘The Bachelorette’ Week 3? Clare Crawley Eliminates 2 Men Outside of the Rose Ceremony
The Bachelorette Season 16 is shaping up to be the most dramatic season yet — but not necessarily for the right reasons. The third week of Clare Crawley’s journey kicked off where we left off. And while we were expecting some fireworks at the start of the episode, it only escalated from there. So who went home on The Bachelorette Week 3? Five men were eliminated tonight, but only three made their exit during the rose ceremony.
[Spoiler alert: The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 3.]
‘The Bachelorette’ Week 3 starts with Yosef’s elimination
The second week of The Bachelorette Season 16 ended with Yosef’s rant about Crawley’s behavior. He called the lead “classless” for the strip dodgeball game. Then when the contestant confronted Crawley in the third episode, he went from zero to 100.
Initially, Yosef expressed his concern about not spending enough time with Crawley. He made a commitment to the show and sacrificed time with his daughter to be there. Crawley was understanding. But when Yosef started discussing the dodgeball game, he got unnecessarily mean. He called the game humiliating and immature, even saying he “expected more from the oldest bachelorette.”
As the rant continued, Crawley tried to get a word in, and Yosef wouldn’t allow it. Finally, when Crawley had enough, she repeated what she told Juan Pablo Galavis on The Bachelor. Then she eliminated him on the spot.
“Never in a million years did I think I would have to utter these words again,” Crawley said. “Do not ever talk to me like that. I never thought I’d ever have to tell any man that I would never want them to be the father of my child. And I stand by that. I would never want my children to have a father like you. Get outta here.”
Yosef responded, “You’re not fit to be the mother to my child.”
After Yosef left The Bachelorette, the remaining cast members came to Crawley’s side. They comforted the lead as she broke down in tears. Then Crawley found herself alone with Dale, and he was able to bring a smile back to her face. Meanwhile, Crawley admitted she’s falling in love with Dale in a confessional interview.
Even so, Crawley canceled the rest of the cocktail party to calm down. Of course, this panicked a few men, as most didn’t get much time with the lead. But regardless, three men — Garin, Blake Monar, and Tyler S. — were eliminated at the rose ceremony.
Clare Crawley’s one-on-one date sends Zach J. home
Crawley went on her second one-on-one date with Zach J. during The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 3. Unfortunately, the spa date wasn’t exactly the best fit for Zach, who shared he was outside of his comfort zone.
Then in a confessional, Crawley admitted she felt a “weird energy” from Zach and hinted their connection wasn’t as strong as the one with Dale. But ultimately, Crawley wanted to “respect the process” and continue with the date.
At the end of the one-on-one, Crawley leaned in to kiss Zach, but the contestant didn’t reciprocate. Crawley quickly moved away. So Zach grabbed the bachelorette by the nape of her neck and asked what happened. Crawley, who was clearly uncomfortable, said it was fine and proceeded to leave.
In an interview with producers, Crawley revealed she felt scared after Zach grabbed her neck, explaining the moment was triggering because of her past trauma. So Crawley sent host Chris Harrison to eliminate her contestant.
Clare Crawley’s ‘Bachelorette’ cast responds to her connection with Dale Moss
Midway through The Bachelorette Week 3, former lead DeAnna Pappas showed up to spend some time with Crawley. The hairdresser gushed over her cast. But she pointed out that Dale stuck out above the rest, telling Pappas the contestant’s limo entrance was electric.
Meanwhile, the remaining suitors are waiting for Crawley to go on the first group date. But upon arrival, she revealed the date would just be an extended cocktail party so that they could spend some quality time together. Dale spoke up first and whisked Crawley away. However, the couple seemed to lose track of time. And after about an hour, some cast members started to get annoyed. Multiple men were also wondering whether they were wasting their time.
Eventually, Crawley stepped away from her frontrunner and connected with other suitors. But even so, she gave her group date rose to Dale. Then on the next group date, the men had a roast. Comedian Margaret Cho served as the guest, and the date was supposed to be lighthearted. However, the contestants took out their frustrations on Dale.
Later, Crawley confronted her suitors about the roast, and it seemed the bachelorette couldn’t get past it. The conversations were all about Dale and they never progressed. In the end, Crawley did not give out a group date rose.
