Armando talks about his past on ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’

When he first told his story on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Armando revealed that he was in a relationship with a woman because he was struggling with his sexual identity. He got married at a young age and became a father to his now 6-year-old daughter, Hannah.

“Even though at a very young age I knew I was gay, given the macho culture I was from and living in Mexico, I wanted to have a relationship with a woman, and I thought this was the only way that possibly these feelings would go away and I could be a man,” Armando says on the show. “After we had been married for about eight years I decided to tell Hannah’s mother that I was gay. When I first told her she was kind of lost and she definitely cried about it.”

Soon after Armando came out to his wife, she told his parents. They were very uncomfortable with the revelation, and essentially pushed him back into the closet. Armando’s ex-wife died in a tragic car crash a few years ago, and he’s been raising Hannah with his family ever since.

Kenneth has four children

As seen on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Kenneth has four grown children he’s leaving behind in the United States when he moves to Mexico. He has 23-year-old triplet daughters — Madison, Cassidy, and Taylor — and a 26-year-old son named Bricen. The reality star also has a three-year-old grandson, Cooper.

Kenneth is very close to his children and his move to Mexico has taken a toll on him. On the show, he said he was worried about the prospect of leaving his family.

“For the last almost 27 years, I’ve been all about my kids,” Kenneth says. “One of the biggest challenges for me leaving, and my family, is the unknown.”

Kenneth reveals why he had to fake a marriage

On the premiere episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Kenneth explained that he had his children with a friend through in-vitro fertilization. And in a recent Instagram Q & A, the reality star revealed that he had to fake a marriage to get it done.

“Good chance to clear this up,” Kenneth wrote. “I was never married to my kids’ mother, we faked being married to do in vitro back in the ‘90s, we just signed a paper at the doctors’ office saying we were. In any case [I] was never married, I have two long term relationships in my life though.”

He may not have been married before, but Kenneth seems to be a truly committed father and partner. Hopefully, as this season continues, fans will get to see Armando’s family come around and embrace him.
