One of the breakout stars of the film Avengers: Endgame was child-actor Lexi Rabe. Rabe played Morgan Stark, whose adorable line “I love you 3,000,” was one of the most beautiful moments in the entirety of the 20 plus film run of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rabe’s experience and acting ability will likely help the young talent go on to a successful career in the entertainment industry, but some fans have cause for concern. This worry comes from the history of fellow Disney child stars who have struggled to adapt to life after achieving fame at a young age.

Rabe is best- known as the adorable daughter of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) in Avengers: Endgame. Morgan is only featured in a few scenes in the film, but has a tremendous impact. Throughout the MCU series of films, Tony is searching for some sort of peace and happiness. He finally finds it in his family after the rest of the world loses so much due to Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) infamous snap.

This is why Tony’s death is so effective and sad, and possibly the most emotional funeral in the history of the MCU. Besides her role in Avengers: Endgame, Rabe has roles in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the DC television show Stargirl. She is also set to star in the upcoming projects Silk Road and Wishes, the latter of which also stars Rabe’s brother and is written and directed by the acting siblings’ mother Jessica Rabe.

This level of success at such a young age is impressive, but it has also caused fans to worry about the young actor’s future.

Why are fan’s worried about Rabe’s future

On a Marvel Studios Reddit thread, fans discussed the possible negative effects of being a child star. The discussion occurred under a picture of Rabe cosplaying as Peggy Carter and holding Captain America’s iconic shield.

The fan’s posts include worries about the impact of being a star before adulthood could have on Rabe. There have been a number of child stars that have had public meltdowns and troubles, many of whom were a part of the Disney empire of films and television. While some fans have concerns about the young actor’s future, the much more concerning behavior is the online harassment that Rabe has received.

According to Deadline, Rabe has been the subject of an adult male’s aggressive bullying after interacting with Rabe and her family at a mall. This type of behavior is much more damaging to a young actor than appearing in blockbuster films, and is completely unnecessary.

The pressure of achieving fame at a young age can be difficult for a young person, just ask a large number of former Disney stars. One of the most iconic Disney stars is Miley Cyrus, who became synonymous with her character Hannah Montana.

After her show ended, Cyrus continued her music career, but with a much different attitude. Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball video and performance at the Video Music Awards showed a new side to the child star, which was cause for concern for some. Cyrus has grown in adulthood and seems to have calmed with age, which is not the case for one of the stars of That’s So Raven.

After his time on the show, Orlando Brown ran into trouble with the law several times including an incident involving meth and the physical assault of his girlfriend. These child stars along with the infamous pair of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, show that it can be difficult to adjust when you grow up in the spotlight.

On the other hand, Disney stars like the Jonas Brothers, Zendaya, and Selena Gomez have gone on to great success without controversy.
