Post Malone first made a splash in the music industry in 2015 with his song “White Iverson.” Since then, he has released more hit singles such as “Rockstar,” “Congratulations,” “Sunflower,” and “Wow.”
Post Malone is clearly one of the most famous rappers at the moment. Although he seems to be at the top of his game, fans have actually been worrying about Post Malone.
Post Malone has been acting strange at his concerts
Post Malone is currently on his Runaway tour to promote his latest album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, and videos of him stumbling around on stage have been circulating social media. In one video, the star could be seen losing balance as he was performing. In other videos, he cradled a microphone in his hands, waved with his eyes closed, and had his eyes rolled back while singing.
“Guys please, Post Malone has been acting ‘weird’ on stage since a few weeks,” one person wrote on Twitter. “I’m not trying to assume anything, but he looks like he’s under drugs. So please, SPREAD THIS VIDEO. We lost too many artists over overdoses. I hope he’s gonna be okay.”
Fans want Post Malone to lay off the drugs and alcohol
It’s not clear if Post Malone was taking drugs and consuming alcohol on his tour or not, but many fans believe that he is, which is why they have been urging him to stay away from these substances.
“That’s def a mix of bars and alcohol and probably pain meds,” one Twitter user pointed out in response to a video of Post Malone. ‘Bars’ likely referring to prescription medications. “Hope he gets help and new friends that don’t push this influence on him.”
Meanwhile, another person said: “He’s clearly a mess, and people that are downplaying this behavior or saying he’s just drunk are the people that will let succumb to his addiction, this is really hard to watch.”
Post Malone has been open about the fact that he used to smoke marijuana. He told GQ recently that he has stopped after a “pot-induced anxiety attack.” These days, Post Malone said that he does not consume anything “stronger than alcohol.”
Post Malone denied using drugs
After videos of Post Malone stumbling around on stage went viral and fans expressed concerns, he assured fans at one of his shows that he was doing OK. In fact, he even said that the “weird” behavior that fans saw was just a part of his performance.
“I’m not on drugs and I feel the best I’ve ever f**king felt in my life,” he said. “And that’s why I can bust my a** for these shows and f**king fall on the floor and do all that fun sh*t. But for anyone that’s concerned here, I appreciate the love and the support, but I feel f**king fantastic and I’m not doing drugs.”
The effects of his contemporaries dying young have taken a toll
Even though Post Malone assured fans that they do not need to worry, many people can still see that there is a lot going on in his life. He even admitted in 2018 that he has been dealing with the effects of his contemporaries like Mac Miller and Lil Peeps dying young around him.
“I remember when Peep died and there was a bunch of shaming, like, on social media, like, ‘Oh these kids doing all their f—king drugs,'” he said. “At the same time you don’t know what someone is going through and you don’t know how easy it is just to get caught up in something to the point where you can’t stop. It’s not your fault.”
