Why Blake Shelton Doesn’t Want to Remember What He Was like Before Gwen Stefani
It’s been four years now that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been dating. They are two very different people, but somehow they make their relationship work. The singer also talked about changing with their time together.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani bonded after divorce
Shelton revealed he was getting divorced from Miranda Lambert not long after Stefani was going through a divorce from Gavin Rossdale. They were working together on The Voice and bonded over that.
“That’s kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day,” the country singer told Billboard. “It went from that, to checking in on each other once a week through email — ‘This sh*t happened to me, what happened to you?’ — to maybe three times a week, then every day, to ‘Hey, here’s my phone number if you ever want to text.’”
He then said, “Next thing I know, I wake up and she’s all I care about, and I’m wondering if she feels the same about me.”
Stefani now listens to mostly country music
The pop star has changed since she got into a relationship with the country singer. One way Stefani changed is her musical taste according to him.
“And in fact, I would say that Gwen, I don’t know how she’d feel about me saying this, but I’m going to say it. I bet she listens to probably 75 percent country music now,” Shelton told Matina McBride on her podcast Vocal Point.
“Just that’s what in her car, that’s the station that stays on, when we’re together she has playlists. That’s what she puts her kids to bed at night to is country music playlists,” he said.
Stefani isn’t the only person who changed because of their relationship. Shelton has too and he recently talked about it.

The country singer’s life has changed since he started dating Stefani. He talked a little bit about that difference with Entertainment Tonight.
“I don’t want to remember what I was like before Gwen, actually,” said Shelton. He did say there is one thing that hasn’t changed when talking to Kelly Clarkson.
“I’m a little bit of jerk to you still,” he said. “But I was a jerk to everybody… Look how nice I am now!” Stefani went on to talk about how Shelton changed her in return.
“Blake saved my life, everybody knows that,” she said. “Like, we’re just having the time of our lives, and we never expected that this late in our lives, so we’re just trying to savor every moment together, and just to be back on The Voice as well — not to change the subject — but working together again has been really fun, and I love being here and I love being with him.”
Stefani won’t return next season of The Voice. However, there is hope that she’ll return again another season.
