However, that wasn’t always the case: when they first met, Cardi B actually wasn’t interested in Offset. What turned her off from her now-husband in the beginning and how did they get past that hump to become one of the music industry’s hottest couples?

Cardi B and Offset’s tumultuous love story began all the way back in 2016. They met that year at an industry event, but they were just friends for the first part of their relationship because Cardi wasn’t interested. The two started dating in early 2017, and a few months later fans cheered as Offset proposed to Cardi on stage.
However, it seemed like the couple had pulled one over on the entire world. It was revealed that Cardi and Offset had actually gotten married in Cardi’s bedroom a month prior to the public proposal, and kept it a secret from all of their fans.
At one point in their marriage, Cardi B announced that she and Offset were getting a divorce because he’d cheated on her. However, she shocked fans when she decided to forgive her love and give their relationship a second chance. Offset, for his part, seems to be totally dedicated to making things up to Cardi since they’ve gotten back together.
“You gotta learn it’s not no game. It’s a family thing. You can lose it. I don’t give a damn, I love my girl. I don’t ever wanna lose that feeling,” he’s been quoted as saying.

Surely, one of the things that brought Cardi B and Offset closer together was the birth of their daughter, Kulture. Their social media pages paint a picture of a loving, happy family life, and fans are soaking it up.
Kulture was born in 2018, and since the moment of her birth, she’s been spoiled like the adorable princess she is. We’d expect no less from parents who’ve worked so hard for their money. Cardi B and Offset even spent almost half a million dollars on Kulture’s first birthday party!
The couple has even thought about having more kids together. Cardi once said she would love to grow her family with Offset: “I want to have more kids. Whatever my body can take, and I feel like I can take it.”
Although the pair isn’t planning on having more kids at this moment, all evidence since they’ve gotten back together suggests that they’re in this together for the long haul this time around.
Cardi B wasn’t into Offset in the beginning
These two weren’t always so adorably in love, however. Cardi has stated that when they first met, she just wasn’t interested. Offset demonstrated his obvious interest in her and told her he loved her music, but Cardi brushed his interest off because she assumed that he was only interested in sex.
“I just felt like, you know. Rappers, they’re just trying to f*** and everything,” she can be seen as saying in an interview.
So how did Offset finally win Cardi over in the end? The key, it seems, was consistency.
