Why Christina Haack Is Selling Her Orange County Mansion for $11.5 Million
Christina Haack is selling her home in Orange County for $11.5 million. Here’s why the HGTV star, who is currently engaged to Joshua Hall, is selling her Dana Point mansion less than a year after she bought it.
Christina Haack bought her Orange County mansion in 2021
On Mar. 24, TMZ reported that Christina Haack is selling her Dana Point, California home for $11.5 million. She purchased the house less than a year ago, in July 2021.
The 6,084 square foot mansion, which is in an exclusive gated community, has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The house has a movie theater, a spa, and a game room. It also boasts panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
Christina Haack stands to make over $1 million on the sale of her Orange County home
HGTV star Christina Haack bought her Dana Point house just a few months ago. She purchased the mansion in July 2021 for $10.3 million. Now that she is listing the property for $11.5 million, Haack could potentially make over $1 million in the sale.
Real estate agent Cara Ameer, a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker and licensed in California and Florida, said that the timing of Haack’s sale is excellent.
“Given current market conditions, it is very likely that Christina will make a significant profit on her home sale,” Ameer said (per realtor.com). “It is not unusual at all for people to be making $1 million or more in some cases on ultra-luxury properties in today’s market.”
The real estate agent added that the home is ready for move-in, which is a crucial factor in the success of its sale. “The home is turnkey and move-in ready, and that is what people in this price range desire,” she said. “They want to be able to start enjoying a purchase of this caliber immediately.”
Ameer added that the location of the mansion further justifies its price point. “Buyers looking in the $10 million to $15 million range in coastal Orange County do have a variety of choices, depending on what they are looking for,” said the agent. “Ultimately, it comes down to what specific location buyers value most, and her home is aggressively priced to sell and will be the lowest priced one in her gated community for sale.”
The HGTV star sold her last home after her divorce from Ant Anstead
Besides the state of the housing market, another factor in Christina Haack selling her Orange County mansion less than a year after buying it likely has to do with her fiancé.
Haack sold her previous home in Newport Beach for $5.35 million in June 2021. She sold the house after separating from her second husband, Ant Anstead, after two years of marriage. The HGTV star bought the Dana Point house a month after selling the home she shared with Anstead.
After divorcing Haack, the English TV presenter quickly moved on to actor Renee Zellweger, while the house flipper found love again with real estate agent Joshua Hall.
The couple got engaged in September 2021, and they recently announced that they started their own production company and will co-produce the upcoming fourth season of Christina on the Coast.
Haack owns a vacation home in Tennessee, and she has hinted at “design projects” with her fiancé. Perhaps the couple plans to purchase and put together their dream home on Christina on the Coast.
