Why Did Amanda Bynes Post Then Delete Her Official Pregnancy Announcement?
New mom alert! Amanda Bynes is pregnant with her first child.
After taking a much-needed break from the spotlight, the actress recently made her comeback to social media and has been causing a frenzy amongst fans with her unexpected announcements.
After revealing her engagement, split, and rekindled relationship with her fiancé all within three weeks, Bynes has once again thrown us in a loop by announcing that she currently has a bun in the oven.
Bynes shared the exciting news on her Instagram
Getting engaged isn’t the only major milestone Bynes is celebrating at the moment.
On Mar. 17, the former Nickelodeon star announced that she is expecting her first child with fiancé, Paul Michael.
Bynes shared the exciting news on her Instagram, posting a photo of her ultrasound with the caption, “Baby on board!” Michael also posted the photo captioning it, “Baby in the making.”
The happy announcement comes a few days after Bynes and Michael rekindled their romance, hours after calling off their engagement.
Now that their relationship is back on, the couple is looking forward to their future together — especially becoming parents.
“Amanda is just barely pregnant and she is very happy,” an Us Weekly source recently shared.
Even onlookers could tell that the actress is over the moon now that she’s received confirmation that she is, in fact, pregnant.
“She seemed excited,” an eyewitness told the outlet, noting that Michael was not at the appointment. “She was dressed casual and keeping a low profile. The lobby was pretty empty so no one bugged her.”
The ultrasound photos were down soon after they were posted
Since this is such an exciting time in Bynes’ life, many were taken by surprise when they realized the actress and her fiancé had abruptly taken down their baby news posts.
Though it remains unclear why the couple removed the ultrasound photos, the actress’ attorney, David A. Esquibias, seemingly shed some light on this mystery when he released a statement to E! News explaining her health status.
“Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false. She is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues,” the statement reads. “We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”
It appears as though Esquibias didn’t want the excitement surrounding this news to take a toll on Bynes’ overall health.
Since her psychological issues have worried many people over the years, it seems like the actress’s attorney wanted to look out for her and urged her and Michael to take the photos down to maintain their privacy.
While that has yet to be confirmed or denied, it seems like now is the time that Bynes needs to focus on herself and her family rather than what the media has to say.
And without the ongoing speculation about her personal life, Bynes can continue putting in the work to better herself as she prepares for life as a new mom.
