Dwayne Johnson has opened up about his feud with Tyrese Gibson but if you thought the two actors were ready to hug it out Johnson said there’s no need for them to talk again.

The Skyscraper star appeared on What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Thursday, July 12, and was asked about the beef that started last year when a caller wanted to know if he and Tyrese had spoken since.

“Great question and the answer is no,” Johnson responded. “Ya know, that whole thing with Tyrese was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. And I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it and it was really one-sided. He had voiced his opinion a lot on social media and apparently he was going through some stuff too in his personal life. … But no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would. To me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”

The feud between the Fast 8 co-stars began in October 2017, when reports surfaced that Johnson was doing a Luke Hobbs spinoff movie. The news didn’t sit well with Tyrese and after reportedly trying to contact Johnson privately, he slammed him publicly and blamed the former wrestler for delaying the ninth installment of the Fast franchise.

Johnson also spoke about some of his other past feuds. He explained that the one between him and John Cena is over now and the two are going to work together on a new project. “We’ve squashed that,” he said. “As a matter of fact, John is going to star in one of my movies that I’m producing, and I think he’s doing great. He’s done great in his transition, and I think he’s gonna continue to work hard.”

When it comes to his issues with Vin Diesel, the Baywatch star was less willing to share information about where they stand now and pleaded the fifth. In 2016, Johnson reportedly called Diesel “unprofessional” on Instagram. But when Cohen asked,  “What was the most unprofessional behavior you witnessed from Vin on set and will you ever film a scene with him again?” Johnson replied, “I’ll plead the fifth.”

Fans had more questions for the highest-grossing box-office hero and one of those was about if he will in fact run for president in 2020.

“At the end of the day, there’s no delusions here, you have to, I believe … I have an incredible amount of respect for public office, especially President of the United States requires years of experience and skill set and sharpening skillset,” he said.

OK, so we’re not totally sure when he would actually run for office but we do know who he would like as his running mate after a fan asked about that choice. “Charlize Theron,” he answered. “She’s great, she’s badass, she’s smart, and she’s beautiful and tough.”

We’ll just have to wait and see if there’s a Johnson/Theron ticket in the future.
