Why Fans Believe Abby Lee Miller Will Be on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Abby Lee Miller is often seen getting students to compete on Dance Moms. She had to take a break from that due to serving time in prison then having a health scare. Now fans think she is about to make a different kind of comeback.
The cast of Dancing With the Stars Season 28 has yet to be revealed. However, there is a teaser that is getting fans to believe that Miller will be on the show. Find out why and more about her relationship with the show.
Abby Lee Miller was treated for cancer
The Dance Moms star had quite a journey over the past few years. She served eight months in prison for bankruptcy fraud. Miller then opened up about being treated for a form of cancer called Burkitt lymphoma.
She had two emergency surgeries on her back and was treated with chemotherapy. Miller was in a wheelchair after that health battle. Now she is cancer-free.
“I pushed through because I feel like I have more to do,” the teacher told People. “I want to be an executive producer. I have three other shows and a cartoon that I’ve created. I want to do what I really do — I create. I can make something magical and wonderful out of nothing. I do it every week.”
She eventually returned to Dance Moms for season 8. That wasn’t the only dancing reality show that she appeared on before her prison sentence.
She was a guest judge on Dancing With the Stars
The dance teacher isn’t a stranger to the competition. She previously was a guest judge in 2014. Her personality unsurprisingly didn’t mesh well with everyone.
Miller had a few things to say about Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis’ rumba, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Chmerkovskiy told Erin Andrews, “I really don’t care for anything that she has to say.”
Miller had a response to Chmerkovskiy. “I think he doesn’t really know the real me, and he probably hasn’t done his homework on my credentials,” she said according to Entertainment Tonight.
Fans believe this teased photo looks like her
The show’s Instagram account posted a photo of a woman in a dress holding up a smiley-face sign to cover her face. The post has the caption, “We can’t wait to sing these names from the rooftops! Who do YOU want to see in the #DWTS ballroom this season?”
Some might wonder if the mystery celebrity is a singer given the caption. However, some people believe it’s someone with a lot more dance experience.
One person commented on the post with, “Is abbey lee miller [sic] out of her wheelchair cuzzzz [sic] that kinda looks like her.” It has over 500 likes from other people. Another fan wrote, “This looks like Abby Lee Miller” and it has over 200 likes.
There are still other guesses behind the post. One person wrote, “Debbie Allen!” which received over 100 likes.
Fans will have to wait to see if they’re correct. The new season will begin at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, September 16 on ABC.
