Why Jennifer Lopez’s 12-Year-Old Daughter Could Outshine Her One Day
Jennifer Lopez is a multitalented extraordinaire who can sing, dance, act, and even run her own businesses. It’s not every day that the world sees a star like Lopez, though it seems that someone in her family could actually outshine her in the future.
Lopez’s 12-year-old daughter, Emme Muñiz, is already showing a lot of potential for success. Perhaps many years down the road, fans will be enamored by Muñiz the same way that they admired Lopez. Read on below to learn more about who Muñiz is and what special feats she has been achieving.
Who is Jennifer Lopez’s daughter Emme Muñiz?
Muñiz was born on February 22, 2008, to Lopez and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. Muñiz also has a twin brother named Maximilian.
When the twins were born, Lopez and Anthony made headlines for having the most expensive baby photos of all the time. Pictures of Muñiz and her brother were sold to People in March 2008 for around $6 million. (They would be dethroned a few months later by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twins, Knox and Vivienne, whose photos cost roughly $15 million.)
While Muñiz might have gotten a lot of publicity after her birth, she has actually been living a rather private life until recently.
Emme Muñiz is getting recognized for her singing skills
Earlier this year, Muñiz joined her mother on stage at the Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show. She sang Lopez’s hit song “Let’s Get Loud” as well as Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA.” Muñiz’s performance received a lot of rave reviews from viewers, who cannot get enough of the tween’s vocal abilities.
However, this was not the first time fans got to see Muñiz’s singing skills. Those who attended concerts on Lopez’s It’s My Party tour in 2019 might remember seeing Muñiz on stage as well.
Additionally, Muñiz also appeared in a video on Lopez’s YouTube channel, where she belted out Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You.”
Emme Muñiz will be releasing a book
Muñiz clearly has a knack for singing, but it seems that this is not the only talent she has.
On May 13, it was announced that Muñiz has written a picture book to be published by Crown Books for Young Readers. Titled Lord Help Me, the book talks about stories of Muñiz’s “own daily prayers” in hopes of giving others “a way to embrace the peace and power of everyday faith.”
“In school I learned about sloths and how they’re facing extinction so I began to pray for them in my nightly prayers,” Muñiz shared in a press release. “I wrote this book to help raise money to save sloths while also teaching other children how we can pray and ask for help, two things that bring me a lot of comfort.”
Lopez also announced the big news of Muñiz’s book on social media, writing: “So proud of my lil coconut.”
Lord Help Me will be published on September 29 in both English and Spanish.
