When it comes to fashion and beauty, Kim Kardashian West is quick to embrace new trends. Over the years, the KKW Beauty mogul has helped usher in various styles, such as bodycon clothing, thong flip flops, and ultra-long hair. But there’s at least one thing that she has yet to experiment with.

As of writing, Kardashian West has not hopped on the tattoo train — and she likely never will.

Kardashian West hates tattoos

The reality star has made it clear that she wants to keep her famous body the way it is. During a 2009 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Kardashian West showed off her arms and raved about being “tat-free.”

When Williams pushed for more information, Kardashian West quipped, “Honey, would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?”

Some fans might’ve suspected that she would change her mind over the years, but the reality star doubled down on her position. When a fan asked in 2013 whether she would get a tattoo, Kardashian West said she absolutely would not.

“I’ve had no desire and would never get one,” she said (via Wetpaint).

Other potential reasons Kardashian West will never get a tattoo

In addition to the aforementioned reason, the reality star might not want to get inked after seeing some of her family members regret their tattoos.

In 2015, Khloé Kardashian wound up removing a tattoo on her lower back that she got at the age of 16. Khloé wrote on Instagram that she eventually realized that it was “not cute” and should have listened to Kardashian West when she cautioned her against tattoos.

Khloé seemingly also regretted some ink she got while married to Lamar Odom. Shortly after they tied the knot in 2009, the Good American designer got his initials, “LO,” written on her hand. But they split up just four years later. Their divorce was finalized in 2015.

And Khloé is not the only one. Many of us saw when Rob Kardashian debuted a tattoo he got in honor of Adrienne Bailon during an earlier season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. He and the Cheetah Girls star dated for about two years before splitting up in 2009, and while she removed his name, it appears that Rob still has hers to this day.

Aside from the regret factor, Kardashian West also has psoriasis. So perhaps she simply doesn’t want to do anything that could potentially cause further irritation to her skin.

Other Kardashian-Jenners with tattoos

Most of the Kardashian-Jenner have tattoos.

We know that matriarch and momager, Kris Jenner, has one. Though she’s never shown it, Khloé shared some details about it years ago.

“She has a tramp stamp of a cross,” Khloé revealed before adding that she wishes Kris had the tat in another place so more people could see it. “I think that would look really sexy on her, and she could pull it off because she’s edgy.”

Then there’s Kendall Jenner, who got matching tattoos with her BFF, Hailey Bieber. She and Bieber have matching broken hearts as their bonded ink.

And then we have Kylie Jenner. She’s the youngest of the family, but she has the most tattoos. She got her first one in her late teenage years, and it says “sanity.” Kylie wrote in an emotional Instagram post in June that she got the tattoo to remind herself to “keep it.”

As for Kourtney Kardashian? She’s seemingly on the same page as Kim because she does not have any tattoos, either.
