Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been keeping the world tuned in since the show premiered in 2007. The oldest Kardashian sibling, Kourtney, is known mostly for her dry sense of humor and dedication to being a great mother. Her laid back personality has been a source of contention between her and her sister Kim since the start of the show.
Kourtney has been vocal about her desire to lessen her role on the show but never followed through on it. Fans have even expressed that Kourtney has been mistreated by her family because of her unwillingness to compromise in terms of filming. A recent interview revealed that Kourtney is finally going through with her plan to separate herself from the popular reality series.

For the past few seasons, Kourtney has expressed her desire to step away from the cameras. After her breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Scott Disick, Kourtney’s priorities changed drastically while she worked out the kinks of being a single mother and co-parenting with her ex.
During that time, the usually uptight Kourtney adopted a different view of life. While her sisters built their multi-million and billion-dollar businesses, Kourtney began to focus more on spending time with her family and enjoying the fruits of her labor by taking more vacations. She also became a health and fitness enthusiast with wellness as a new passion of hers. Furthermore, Kourtney vegans working less. Her lack of excitement towards overworking herself often caused huge blowups between her and her sisters, specifically Kim. Kim called Kourtney out for what she perceived to be laziness and felt that Kourtney became increasingly difficult to work with. Kourtney summed up her lackadaisical attitude to enjoying life outside of work and fame.
Viewers watched several clips over the past season of Kourtney struggling with whether or not she should continue with KUWTK. The 40-year-old beauty appeared less and less interested to participate on the show and at one point told her sisters that she’d be happier if she stopped filming altogether.

It looks like Kourtney is finally moving forward with her desire to spend less time filming. During a recent appearance with sisters Kim and Khloé on Entertainment Tonight, Kourtney said she’s taking a step back from the show to focus on being the best mother possible to her three children.
Kourtney gave birth to all three of her children on the show. Mason (9), Penelope (7), and Reign (4), have grown up before KUWTK fans’ eyes and Kourtney is feeling the need to live more in the moment with her kids versus designating so much time filming.
“I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she revealed.“But I’m not saying goodbye.”
Luckily, Kourtney has the support of her sisters while she takes the time she needs. “We definitely love Kourtney and we will miss Kourtney and whatever she decides to do, but people come, people go all the time in this family,” Khloé said. she also joked about her older sister’s constant changing stance on being part of the family reality series. “We feel like it’s a revolving door, so Kourtney might leave this week, she’ll be back.”
Kourtney promises fans will still see her on the new season of the show but it will not be in the capacity as it was before.
