Why Mila Kunis Doesn’t Wear Her Engagement Ring From Ashton Kutcher
Some celebrities sport their engagement rings all the time but not Mila Kunis. The Black Swan actor received a diamond sparkler from Ashton Kutcher but it’s rare she steps out with it on.

The celebrity couple walked down the aisle in an ultra-private ceremony in July 2015. After tying the knot they embarked on a honeymoon Kunis once compared to the popular National Lampoon’s Vacation movies.
“Our honeymoon was like a real-life National Lampoon’s honeymoon,” she told W magazine in 2014 per Today. “I’m not exaggerating. I’m not saying it for a laugh. We also went honeymooning with my in-laws.”
They drove across California in an RV after the bride gave the groom a gift card for an RV service “not thinking that my husband’s gonna go, ‘Oh! That’s our honeymoon!'”
Kunis and Kutcher have two kids together. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Wyatt, on Oct. 1, 2014. A little more than two years later on Nov. 30, 2016, they became parents with the birth of a son named Dimitri.
Although they are celebrity kids, now 6-year-old Wyatt and 4-year-old Dimitri won’t grow up to inherit their parents’ fortunes. The couple plans to invest in any potential business ideas their kids might have someday. As for the rest of Kunis and Kutcher’s combined net worth of $255 million, they intend to donate it to charity.
Mila Kunis is afraid someone will steal her engagement ring
Kunis has a sparkler from her husband but she’s rarely spotted wearing it. Not because she doesn’t like the ring but because she’s afraid someone will steal it.
“My engagement ring is in a safety deposit box,” the Bad Moms actor said during a 2016 interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show per Elle Australia. “I’m like, ‘I can’t wear this because someone’s going to chop my hand off for it.’”
Instead, Kunis wears a thin gold wedding band she bought on Etsy.
“I wanted the thinnest possible platinum band,” she said during a 2016 appearance on Conan before adding, “I mean, you can’t see it, but it’s super, super thin,” she said. “I looked at how much Tiffany’s [cost] and I was like, ‘They’re how much? This is astronomical.'”
She continued, saying she went in search of a more affordable option.
“So I went on Etsy and I was like, ‘$90?’ I was like, ‘Buy now!’ $90, everybody! Ashton’s was $100, so technically his wedding band was a little bit more expensive than mine,” Kunis said.
“My engagement ring is beautiful, but I don’t ever wear it,” she added. “This ring, I’m like, $90. It’s great.”
The actors met on ‘That ’70s Show’ but didn’t start dating until later
Kutcher and Kunis got to know each other on the set of That ’70s Show. Teenagers when the series debuted in 1998, they weren’t interested in each other romantically. They didn’t start dating until years later even though they played love interests on screen.
The actors reconnected at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2012 and Kunis realized she her former co-star. Later the same month she went to a housewarming party for Kutcher and sparks flew. By April of that year, the two were living together.
