Why Some BTS Fans Think V Should Be a Gucci Model
V is a good boy. He’s known for his visuals and his iconic fashion moments, even earning some nicknames because of his love for Gucci. Although he’s not officially a model for the brand, some BTS fans think it’s totally a possibility.
Here’s what we know about Kim Taehyung and the other BTS members.
V is one of the singers in BTS
He loves his dog Yeontan, music, and dancing. V, real name Kim Taehyung, is one of the performers in the award-winning K-pop group, BTS. Some fans also know V for his love of fashion and, particularly, the luxury brand Gucci.
According to Business Times, V earned several fashion-related nicknames from BTS fans, particularly those mentioning his Gucci outfits. That includes “Gucci King,” “The Human Gucci,” and “the Walking Gucci.”
With this love of fashion in mind, some fans made edits of the idol wearing the brand, saying that, although he’s not an official model for Gucci, he definitely could be. (Some idols have since gone on to partner with luxury fashion brands, including the members of BLACKPINK, who indefinitely became brand ambassadors for companies like Chanel, Saint Laurent (YSL,) and Dior.)
Fashion is an important aspect of BTS’ performance
Whether they’re filming a music video or doing an interview overseas, these boys are known for their bold fashion choices and hair colors. While V is known for his love of Gucci, each of the performers have worn the brand for live performances.
“Fashion is one of the most important part of my life,” V said during a 2017 interview with Paste Magazine, according to one translation. “It means a lot to me and I get to think about many things through fashion.”
“Fashion sort of draws you as a person,” Jungkook added. “You can make yourself different and unique by wearing this and that. That is exactly why BTS come back with new, different fashion with unique concepts.”
BTS partnered with a few different brands since their debut
The performers in this K-pop group partnered with a few impressive clothing brands. That includes Fila, by which they created the FILA x BTS line of products. They also partnered with Puma and Skechers (the company created products with BTS’ BT21 characters.)
Of course, the most important aspect of BTS’ performance is the music. As a solo artist, V released the song entirely in English, “Winter Bear.” He also had solo songs appear on BTS albums, including “Singularity” and “Stigma.”
The “Life Goes On” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
