WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Power Book II: Ghost Season 1, Episode 10.

Tasha St. Patrick’s story on ‘Power’

The matriarch of the St. Patrick family, Tasha (Naturi Naughton) is a street-savvy woman and the former the right-hand to her husband, Ghost. She supported and helped him with his criminal business, laundering his money, getting rid of certain evidence, and covering up certain crimes. But she resisted his efforts to go legit, as the dirty money financed their lifestyle.

By the end of the series, Ghost was dead, shot and killed by his son Tariq. Tasha took the fall for him, but she was freed in Power Book II: Ghost after Tariq exposed a scheme between lawyers Cooper Saxe and Davis Maclean.

Once she got out, she made it clear that she was done with the drug business, saying she was fed up and couldn’t take it anymore. She was last seen heading into a witness protection program following Tommy Egan’s attempt on her life.

Fans find the outcome so ironic

“The thing that annoys me with Power was Ghost legit tried his best to be LEGIT and leave the game and Tasha didn’t want that…TASHA didn’t want that and it went downhill from there,” one person tweeted after the season one finale.

“Tasha is wack as hell for wanting OUT the game now,” another person said. “Ghost was TRYING to get out since Season 1 Episode 1 and she wasn’t wit it. Nah booboo this the life you chose!! #PowerTV#PowerBookIIGhost”

A third person wondered, “Do anybody see the irony in Tasha tryna get tariq out da game? Thats all Ghost was tryna for 5 seasons and she wouldnt let him lol. And she was sh*ttin on him … now all of a sudden ‘i lost too much in this game, i gotta get him out’ lol 😴”

“Tasha drives me insane. Its definitely not her fault that everything happened. But I really wonder how things may have turned out if she just supported ghost when he wanted to leave the game in the first place,” said a fourth fan.

Yeah, Tasha definitely made a bad call on that one, if you ask us. But for what it’s worth, she probably had no idea things would go as far as they did. It’s a good thing that she has finally realized her mistakes and is trying to make smarter decisions now.

Will Tasha St. Patrick be on future episodes of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’?

It’s likely we’ll see Tasha in future episodes on the show. But we probably won’t be seeing her as much as before now that she’s in a protection program.

Speaking about the future of the show, Power showrunner and creator Courtney Kemp said season two will showcase how Tariq navigates life on his own now that he can’t contact his mother. “Part of the journey of Season 2 is absolutely going through and making decisions without the benefit of someone to call,” she told Deadline.

But so far, there’s no official release date for the next season. As we await more details, read more of our Power coverage below.
