Some celebrities really love the holiday season and aren’t afraid to show it. Taylor Swift admitted she has an unnatural level excitement over it. She explained the reason why and how she approaches Christmas.

Taylor Swift gets very excited about the holiday season

There are some people who don’t want to think about the holiday season until the last minute. Then there are people who can’t wait to start preparing and celebrating as soon as possible. Swift seems to fall into the latter camp because she grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania.

“It was such a weird place to grow up,” she told Esquire. “But it has cemented in me this unnatural level of excitement about fall and then the holiday season. My friends are so sick of me talking about autumn coming. They’re like, ‘What are you, an elf?'”

Her dad enjoyed the business. “He’d tend to the farm as his hobby,” she said. “He’d get up four hours early to go mow the fields on his tractor. We all had jobs. Mine was picking the praying-mantis pods off of the trees, collecting them so that the bugs wouldn’t hatch inside people’s houses.”

Once again the songwriter used her own experiences as inspiration for her work. She released “Christmas Tree Farm” in 2019 and the lyrics describe the happiness on a Christmas tree farm.

The music video is a good way for the singer to share parts of her childhood and why she loves Christmas so much. It is full of family videos of her time on the farm with her family. She is seen being carried by her parents, and on a sled in snow in some clips.

Swift has said she loves the tradition of people giving each other gifts for the holiday. She talked about how she gets her gift ideas.

Swift has talked about getting crafty around Christmas in the past. “That was my first time making snow globes out of mason jars, antique Christmas trinkets and glitter,” the singer said back in 2011, according to People.

“I found out how to do it on Pinterest. It made for a lovely winter activity day — [it] made me feel like a little kid again,” she said. She also gets nostalgic when tending to her Christmas tree.

Most people struggle to get gifts for their Christmas list. But Swift explained how she solves this problem.

“I like to get my friends gifts that show that I really know them,” she said. “If one of my friends says something about wanting something, I’ll write it down and get that for them for Christmas.”

That is a way to get ahead of the game with Christmas shopping. It sounds like Swift has a strong love for the holiday, and is always prepared for it.
