Celebrities are no exception. Some can withstand every scandal that they embroil themselves in, while other celebs are ruined by a single gaff. When it comes to the Kardashians, they seem to be scandal resistant. No matter how many times Kim and her sisters find themselves in trouble, they don’t seem to face any negative consequences.
The Kardashians are famous thanks to a scandal
In a recent Reddit thread, fans tried to name all the biggest Kardashian Jenner scandals. Some users had trouble coming up with anything. Not because there have been no scandals, but because of the total lack of negative consequences that have resulted from them.
One of the reasons scandals can’t touch the Kardashians may be that they were made by scandal. Kim Kardashian West rose to fame when her sex tape with Ray J, rapper and brother of singer Brandy, was leaked to the public. Before the tape came out, Kim hung around with heiress Paris Hilton. She wasn’t totally unknown, but she didn’t have her own claim to fame until the tape.
Kim Kardashian West and Kris Humphries’ marriage was another early scandal
There’s a popular theory that Kim or her mother Kris Jenner leaked the tape. It could be true. But even if Kim is innocent she still created another big scandal for the Kardashians. Her first marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries lasted a total of 72 hours. Fans were mad and many felt lied to. A lot of people thought Kim only married Kris to make drama for her show, which was in its sixth season at the time.
One of the problems with the Kris and Kim marriage was the proposal. It’s commonly thought of as one of the most scripted moments on the show. After their short marriage, Kris revealed that he had surprised Kim with the proposal on camera. Afterward, she decided that she didn’t like her reaction. She made him propose again so that they could re-shoot the footage. That didn’t make Kim many fans.
Fans think the Khloé Kardashian/Jordyn Woods scandal is the worst they’ve seen
Even though Kim and Kris Humpries’ marriage was bad, it doesn’t hold a candle to what fans consider the worst Kardashian scandal ever. That’s the drama that went down between Khloé, Tristan Thompson, and Jordyn Woods. Khloé and Thompson were together when he was caught stepping out with Woods. The younger woman was best friends with Khloé’s sister Kylie Jenner.
Khloé was obviously devastated. It was poor timing, as she was still pregnant with Tristan’s baby. She gave birth literally days after finding out that Tristan had been unfaithful. She did the best she could for her new daughter. Some fans thought she should have known better since Tristan had been accused of cheating in the past, but this shouldn’t have been a scandal for Khloé. In fact, if she hadn’t reacted the way she did, fans may have been on her side of the issue.
Instead of blaming Thompson for preying on a much younger woman and cheating on her, Khloé attacked Woods. She publicly fat-shamed her, and fans weren’t having it. According to some Reddit users, the whole drama changed the way they see Khloé. One fan even said they unfollowed Khloé on Instagram because of the way she was going after Woods.
Hopefully, in time Khloé will be able to make up for the mistakes she made with Woods. Unfortunately, it looks like she may be getting back together with Tristan, which will only lose her more fans.
