Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs pleads not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution following his arrest in September 2024. The public anxiously awaits more celebrity names in connection to Combs’ alleged crimes. Recently, Jay-Z was named by a plaintiff. Now, Will Smith is looking to clear his name from Combs’ wrongdoings. Here’s what Smith said during a show.

Will Smith publicly announced that he’d never attended Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ freak-offs

Sean “Diddy” Combs held some of the biggest parties in Hollywood from the 1990s to the early 2000s. Combs’ “White Parties” came with a strict all-white dress code and occasionally doubled as charity events. Unfortunately, several reports suggest the afterparty of these parties contained nefarious activities, like Combs’ “freak-offs.” The “freak-offs,” or multiday and night sex parties, allegedly involved drugs and prostitutes.

Will Smith is looking to clear his name. He ranted about how he has no connection to Combs or Combs’ parties during a show at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on Dec. 12, 2024.

Smith began his rant by stating that it’s difficult for the public to discern “what’s real.”

“I’ve been seeing ya’ll’s memes and stuff,” he said to the crowd while on stage, according to a clip from TMZ. “… I see the memes. Some of it’s funny. But, I haven’t addressed any of this publicly, but I just want to say this very clearly: I don’t have s*** to do with Puffy. So, ya’ll can stop all your memes. Ya’ll can stop all of that bulls***. I ain’t been nowhere near no damn freak-off. … I ain’t been nowhere near that man.”

Smith added that if anyone says he has past connections to Combs, “it’s a damn lie.”

“And I don’t even like baby oil,” he joked.

Smith said he usually doesn’t respond “to dumba** stuff.” However, the “memes” allegedly got to Smith.

Will Smith infamously slapped Chris Rock during the Academy Awards in 2022. Rock made a G.I. Jane joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, prompting the Men In Black star to slap him on stage. Smith then shouted at Rock after the slap, causing the audience to go silent.

While at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash in 2022, Sean “Diddy” Combs confirmed that Smith and Rock got over their beef.

“That’s not a problem,” Combs said. “That’s over. I can confirm that. It’s all love. They’re brothers.”

A source told Page Six that Combs allegedly spoke to Smith and Rock independently “after it happened, which has been confirmed.” Smith and Rock allegedly “didn’t speak to each other.”

If Combs is to be believed, he has some sort of a friendship with Smith. It’s unclear how close they were at the time.

Attorney Tony Buzbee warns of the dangers of naming celebrities in connection to the hip-hop mogul

The public wants to know who else is accused of committing crimes alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs. Attorney Tony Buzbee told TMZ Live that celebrities are already settling. When it comes to publicly naming famous folks in connection to Combs, Buzbee said he has to thoroughly do his “homework.

“But, we want to make sure that if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs, that we make sure that we’ve done our homework, because it’s going to create a firestorm,” Buzbee warned. “We understand that. We’re going to make sure that we dot our I’s and cross our T’s.”
