K-Drama ‘XX’ Is a Must-Watch for Busy Fans Looking for a Short and Riveting Story

The K-drama XX offers a sweet spot for fans who want to watch a new drama but do not have the time for a typical full-length episode or season. ‘XX’ is about former best friends who collide at a speakeasy bar
In the K-drama XX, Yoon Na-na (Ahn Hee-yeon) is a friendly bartender at a speakeasy called XX. She dreams of saving enough money to buy the bar, but her dream crumbles when her ex-best friend returns to her life. Lee Roo-mi (Hwang Seung-eon) comes from a wealthy family and is Na-na’s former best friend.
When Roo-mi cannot find a location to open her own bar, she buys XX. She decides to keep Na-na as the head bartender. Fans can expect turmoil between the two characters as Na-na has not been in a relationship since her ex cheated on her with Roo-mi.
To add some possible romance, Park Dan-hee (Bae In-hyuk) is a former athlete whose career ended after an accident. He becomes a bartender at XX after being inspired by Na-na’s passion for it. Secretly, he is in love with her.

Ahn Hee-yeon, also known as Hani, is a South Korean actor and singer. She is more well known as a member of the girl group EXID. Ahn started her acting career in 2015, with the K-drama XX being her first leading role. In 2021, she plays Lee Ran-joo in the KakaoTV web series How to Be Thirty.
Hwang Seung-eon is also a singer, actor, and model who has made most of her career in movies and TV. In 2017, she played the role of Jun Hee-sung in the political thriller movie The King. Fans will remember her from the romance K-drama I’m Not a Robot as the supporting character Ye Ri-el. In 2021, she played the role of Jin-ho in You Are My Spring.
Actor Bae In-Hyuk plays the male character in XX. After starring in XX K-drama, Bae played a well-recognized and swoon-worthy role in My Roommate is a Gumiho alongside Jang Ki-yong and Lee Hye-ri.
