‘Yellowstone’ Star Confirms Season 4 Premiere Date — But Did They Also Confirm They Survived the Season 3 Finale?
Yellowstone fans are freaking out now that Taylor Sheridan’s western has revealed the season 4 premiere date. An hour before the news broke, star Jefferson White (Jimmy Hurdstrom) posted the video clip to his IG stories. But did he also confirm that Jimmy survived the season 3 finale?
‘Yellowstone’ fans want to know who made it out of season 3 alive
The Yellowstone season 3 finale was a shocker. By the end of the episode, the fates of three different Duttons were hanging in the balance. At the same time, Jimmy found himself in some serious trouble.
In the finale’s final moments, Dutton patriarch John (Kevin Costner) was helping a woman change a flat tire on the side of the road when an unknown gunman pulled up and shot him. Meanwhile, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) was in her office when a package exploded. And Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) was taking cover behind a desk as a group of gunmen stormed his office.
Jimmy Hurdstrom’s love of rodeo could kill him
Just before the seemingly coordinated attacks on the Duttons, Jimmy was left severely injured. Earlier in the season, the ranch hand discovered his love of rodeo and started bronc riding to earn some cash. But he ended up seriously injured, and John stepped in to take care of his medical bills.
There was a condition, though. John made Jimmy promise he wouldn’t go back to rodeo and end up back in the hospital. At first, he listened. But in the season 3 finale, Jimmy got back on a horse. Which quickly proceeded to buck him off and leave him lying prone in the corral. That’s the last image fans saw of Jimmy, and it wasn’t clear if he would make it to season 4.
Did Jefferson White just confirm his character survived the ‘Yellowstone’ season 3 finale?
One hour before the Paramount Network dropped a new Yellowstone teaser that announced the season 4 premiere date, White posted the clip on his IG stories and wrote in the caption, “Yellowstone returns 11/7/21. Can’t wait for you to see it. Best season yet.”
White used some interesting wording when sharing the season 4 promo, considering the fate of his character is in question. Would he really call it the “best season yet” if he got killed off? This could be the biggest clue yet that Jimmy survived.
‘This is not a drill’
Almost one year to the day that the season 3 finale aired in August 2020, Yellowstone finally revealed when it will return for season 4. In a new ominous video clip, the Paramount Network announced the premiere date was November 7, 2021. In the caption of the clip they wrote, “This is not a drill!”
The video begins with John Dutton lying on the side of the road after getting shot. The birds are circling overhead as a voice over says, “We’re at war, you and me.”
‘Yellowstone’ fans feel like they’ve been waiting ‘forever’
As soon as the Paramount Network posted the clip on their socials, fans went nuts. They filled up the comments section with words like “finally,” “good news,” “I’ve been waiting forever,” and “can’t freaking wait.”
Law & Order alum Angie Harmon wrote, “Rip gone kill EREBODY!! 👏👏👏👏.” And former Dancing With the Stars host Erin Andrews added, “GUYS!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait!”
Hassie Harrison — who plays Laramie on Yellowstone — wrote, “Can it be November already?!?!? 🔥😍” The Instagram account for the Paramount Network simply wrote, “Can’t. Wait.”
Seasons 1 through 3 of Yellowstone are available to stream on Peacock. Season 4 of Yellowstone premieres Sunday, November 7 on the Paramount Network.
