A psychological thriller that has made waves with viewers, You is one of the hottest TV shows around. Based on a popular book series, You originally debuted on Lifetime before moving to Netflix, where it gained a whole new audience of fans.

With a star-studded cast, intense storylines, and a wealth of gritty, gory content, You has received critical acclaim. Netflix listened to fans, renewing You for a fourth season before the third season was even released – and now, fans are curious to learn when they can expect to see new episodes, and what the storyline of the upcoming fourth season will be.

What is ‘You’ about?

You tells the story of Joe Goldberg, a seemingly mild-mannered bookstore employee who becomes infatuated with an aspiring writer named Guinevere Beck. What viewers discover as the series progresses is that Joe is not as harmless as he initially seems—and that he is in fact a serial killer.

Successive seasons of You focused on Joe’s efforts to create a new identity for himself, as well as his pursuit of family life with Love Quinn, a chef and health expert.

While You is a gritty psychological drama, it also includes elements of horror and romance. The third season really upped the ante in terms of terror, with Love becoming not only an accomplice to Joe’s murderous ways but taking steps of her own to ensure that her dreams become reality.

The third season of You debuted on Netflix in October 2021, but before those episodes even dropped, Netflix announced that there would be a fourth season of the hit series. A few juicy clues have been revealed about Season 4 of You—details that should have ardent fans very excited indeed. According to Screen Rant, the fourth season will likely focus on Theo, Matthew, and Dottie’s quest for revenge after Joe’s actions disrupted their lives in Season 3.

Joe’s venture abroad will likely have interesting consequences for him, especially since he isn’t taking great steps to hide his identity. Additionally, the fourth season will probably feature a storyline about Joe’s quest to enter high society, as well as his pursuit of Marienne.

With Joe’s propensity to always be on the hunt for his next obsession, it’s certain that fans will see at least one or two disturbing kills during the course of Season 4. There will also be several new characters in the fourth season, including Kate, an art gallery director played by Charlotte Ritchie, and Adam, played by Lukas Gage.
